Yes I have noticed the difference in the schools.
You have all these people crying separation of Church & State, remove God from the schools. Then you have the same people standing there wondering why our kids are on drugs, pregnant, and shooting each other on the campuses. Our school systems have been teaching our kids to decide for themselves what is right & what is wrong. Set your own standards, do what feels good for you, with that type of thinking no wonder the schools have become a breading ground for imorality.
When ever humans close the door on God they open the door for Satan.
For your info, when this Country was first founded the schools that were established taught soley from the Bible. My Grandmother grew up going to school in a " one room school house" and their reading book was the Bible. We are not referring to having some other religions taught in our schools, the refference is in regards to christianity which was the basic foundation for our school systems and the morals being taught in them. Of course we do not want some false religion being taught to our kids.
I do believe that the primary responsibility of parents is to teach their children about God. But with the laws in regards to prayer in schools, everyone is so afraid of being sued by the ACLU that they stear clear of God & Christianity. I would like to see the day the ACLU repesents a Christian for being discriminated against, for what they believe. Fat chance of that happening. even though the ACLU claims to represent people that have been discriminated for what they believe.
If you check out the organization called " ACLJ " you will see all sorts of problems that are going on in our schools, with the system not allowing individual children to pray or talk about God or write reports about their views on God when it is being allowed for them to write about other religious entities, but not about Christianity. So maybe people who think this isn't going on need to educate themselves a little more about this issue. There are law suites going on all over this country in regards to this issue.

There is absolutely a connection. What's really sad is that some Christians don't even make the connection and are satisfied with the fact that they can pray silently. Why didn't Daniel just pray in secret instead of going to his window to pray and risk being seen and thrown in the lions den? Declaring that prayer in school is uncontitutional (which by the way, it is not) is publicly throwing God out of our public schools and it sends God a message that He is not wanted there. The same people who would silence the Christians and remove anything having to do with a creator... The Bible, The Ten Commandments etc... these are the same people who want to know where God is when some kid comes to school and shoots and kills people.Yes there is a connection to the criminalizing of Christianity that has taken place in this nation and the spiraling moral decline we see in the schools and in all aspects of our society. From where i sit, it seems like you would have to have blinders on not to see that. To the Christians who answered this who are happy to go in the bathroom and pray silenly, while you're at it maybe you might pray that our Constitution will be restored to it's original intent and you won't have to hide in the bathroom and pray. Your teacher can have a class prayer before lunch, or school devotion before classes start the way I enjoied as a child. If anyone is offended by that they may be excused from participating. It was so for hundreds of years. Our Constitution was to protect freedom of religion not to criminalize it. It's AMAZING how few people know the ruling on this. Wild. Where do people get this goofy idea that every single student and teacher cannot have prayer in school? Total and complete ignorance. Do people just prefer made up info over reality? LOL.
The ruling is "no school led prayer." Hellooooo. Not everyone is ok with Saul Rabinowitz or Abdullah Asham leading their child in prayer. Maybe you are, and that's fine, but I'm not. The Supreme Court kept each child's spiritual ideals in the hands of their parents and SOMEHOW that got twisted around to the point that people think there's no prayer in school. Imagine how much energy we could all save and how much more often we'd smile if we actually had accurate info, especially on the big stuff. Some people actually go from grumpy to grateful when they discover what the actual decision was.

This is ridiculous. Religion does not make you moral at all. I am an agnostic and FYI I am not a criminal nor have I ever been involved in criminal activities. I think the issues you are talking about have more to do with the person's home situation than prayer in schools. How do you propose we pray in school. Which "god" do we pray to? What religion do we follow? What about the atheists and agnostics who do not believe in your imaginary man in the sky?

Keen observation! I agree. This is what happens when a country built on Christian concepts lets a bunch of secular with no sense of the ideals that this country was founded on, start to run things! Of course there is a connection. When God is taken out of our schools, courthouses, and off our money! Our basic freedom to worship will be next. Is this what America, the land of the free is supposed to be about? I think not! God fearing people in America.........let's take back America so our children will have a place to worship God!

Prayer in public schools is a sensitive issue. In a perfect situation, all people would graciously and humbly acknowledge the biblical view of God and His sovereign control over the entire world. In that case, there would be prayer in all public facilities, including public schools. As Psalm 33:12 states, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” Praise the Lord that, when Jesus returns to reign over this earth, this will be the case. Until that day, a Christian should approach the issue of prayer in public schools with wisdom and discernment.
Our country was founded upon biblical principles, and Bible reading and prayer were long part of the daily schedule in public schools. Although our culture was directed by the Judeo-Christian ethic for the first 150-plus years, the U.S. is currently not a Christian nation. Our nation is marked by great diversity of opinion and religion. One of the blessings of this country is the government-mandated freedom of expression and religion. So many countries have governments that mandate the practice of one religion and/or outlaw the practice of another. In our diverse, tolerant, freedom-based country, one of the sticky issues regarding formalized, school-sponsored events is that, if the school sponsors a Christian event, it may also have to sponsor an event from another religion. It is easy to say that we want prayer in public schools until we realize that the prayers may include non-Christian prayers. This is definitely something to think about as we develop opinions regarding this issue.
How should a Christian view prayer in public schools? First, according to Romans 13, 1 Timothy 2, and 1 Peter 2, we are to submit to and pray for all authority, including those in authority in public schools. An application of this would be to pray that we as a culture return to our Christian heritage; may the Lord bring revival to our country and the salvation of souls.
Second, although Christian-based prayer is not sponsored in public schools, Christian students can and should pray while attending school. Students can and should pray for other students, teachers, and administrators. Christian students should view their schools as a field for evangelism, and they should receive training from parents and churches for this purpose. No one can stop a child from praying, only from organizing a specific prayer event on public school grounds. As the saying goes, “As long as there are exams, there will be prayer in schools.”
One thing we as Christians shouldn’t do is look to government organizations such as the public schools to reinforce our Christian values and beliefs. The Bible tells us that the world is opposed to the things of God. If our hope for our country is based upon electing the right officials or hiring the right principals, more than likely we will be disappointed. Our hope for our country is based upon God’s intervention as the gospel is proclaimed to the lost in all places, including the public schools. Prayer may be banned in public schools, but the Holy Spirit is not limited, and “the arm of the LORD is not too short to save” (Isaiah 59:1).

could be a connection- i am for praying in the schools- however just a suggestion- just because praying out loud is not done, that does not mean we cannot pray silently. God hears every word spoken and unspoken. NO person can keep us from praying to our God, I know high school students that pray every morning.

There are groups like First Priority who meet before school to praise and worship or pray together. Maybe it depends on what state or country you are in to be able to legally pray out loud on that campus.

Correlation does NOT equal causation. Could it be maybe, just maybe that society falling into a pit hole is because of PARENTS not the SCHOOLS? Crazy thought there. Perhaps we should raise our own children and stop expecting the govt to do it for you.
We are 21 out of 30 industrial countries in the world in math and science. Why aren't people having an issue with THAT? Talk about twisted priorities. You want another dark ages??

If you study American history at all, you cannot help but see God's guiding hand; from the fields of Lexington and Concord and the first shot heard around the world to the drafting of the Declaration of Independence with the words: ..... the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God, (where do you think they got these words? Hint: It WASN'T JEFFERSON. It was Sir William Blackstone: Commentaries on the Law).......they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness........with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.
These men held nothing sacred but THEIR HONOR!! Oh, God, grant us such men to run for office TODAY!!!
"Laws of Nature and Nature's God?" Divine Providence? Creator? Who were they talking about? It CERTAINLY wasn't the FSM.
Go to George Washington's Thanksgiving Day Proclamation and Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address and fast forward to Ronald Reagan's "Shining City on a Hill", and the REQUEST for God's blessing is at EVERY CRITICAL POINT in American History.
How then, did we get where we are today? It is OUR FAULT as Christians. We have done little to nothing about outrageous court decisions that redefine life itself, judicial rulings that legislate from the bench, usurping the will of the people. Do YOU pray for our country, for our leaders, present and FUTURE? Are YOU registered to vote? Do you vote for the leaders who stand on conscience for Godly principles? Do you ever look in the mirror and point the finger and ask God to start revival here?
All that is neccessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. 2Ch 7:14 is NOT subject to the opinions of the ungodly, and neither is God.
Nehemiah prayed for God's protection then stood up and posted a guard. Gideon chased the Midianites who were WITHOUT NUMBER (Judges 6:5) with 300 men; Abraham pleaded with God not to destroy Sodom for the sake of 10 righteous (Gen. 18:32).
I believe with all my heart that there are enough Christians in America to turn the country back to God, and put God in his rightful place in society, and Godly leadership in Office and Courts and proclaim the Gospel, and bring revival to our Nation, but Lord, start with me.
