Jehovah's Witnesses do not participate in traditions which are primarily pagan in nature or origin.
It seems likely that Adam and Eve were surrounded by flowers when they came together as husband and wife.

Nice explanation on the honey month, but it doesn't sound religious in concept. Presuming that in the "old days" woman might have actually been virgin, or in the case of second marriages, abstained before the wedding, it seems like a good opportunity to get to know each other. I would think that not all Pagan activities were bad, just the religious ones.

I'm afraid that virtually EVERY religion is tainted by traditions that originally stem from pagans. Take, for example, the exchange of rings between husband and wife. Pagan origins, I'm afraid. I think you may have been misinformed about JW's keeping many pagan traditions - and if they do, they are probably the same ones that we also keep.
Jesse P - you're reported and blocked for your filthy and perverted answer. I strongly recommend that everyone keeps an eye open for your next reincarnation - it's the content that gives you away.

So now! what pagan traditions have you heard they keep? Because I don't know of any they keep and I've known them for more than a decade. And by the way, Way. I don't believe they keep any Jewish traditions either. They observe God's word and keep the Memorial of Christ which Jesus himself said to keep. They observe Christian love taught by Jesus Christ and follow his example. So then, no answer to my question?, then this must just be another attempt to lie about Jehovah's Witnesses. Why am I not surprised, it's just as the Bible says. Flowers at a wedding would only be pagan if you offered them to pagan gods, they are there just for the beauty, don't forget that God Almighty created flowers in the first place as a thing of beauty for everyone to enjoy, where did the first marriage happen?, in the garden of Eden, a place of paradise with plenty of flowers, who arranged it?, God. So just because pagans do something does not always make it pagan for everyone, just pagan how they do it, not a very good try to make JWs look bad. And going away to relax and enjoy a small vacation after all the time expended in putting together, along with the stress, of a wedding, doesn't mean it's considered a pagan tradition, just some well deserved time alone together before heading back to the daily grind of work, another foul attempt., very lame Tanya Pants. What? Nothing to say to me? Nice try at greed isnrblog, even Jesus used currency of his time. It's all that's available, are you suggesting JWs disobey the superior authorities and print their own currency?

Putting flowers on a grave is Pagan. But why worry so much about the outside of the cup?Things that are Pagan have nothing to do with me, nor do they have a hold on me.
"Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled" (Titus 1:15).

None. As soon as we see it is pagan, the practice is stopped! IN all things! Things like these are a "conscience" matter. But, if anything makes another "stumble", we are commanded to fix it. Are YOU stumbled? Or just grossly mislead? All things are reasonable & just, if they are looked into & directed to ones who know.. ... ... LIKE A J.W.
If you don't REALLY want the answer, & just want to argue, we usually don't give ones time of day for that. There are many who really want to know the truth of the good news that Jesus Christ gave us.
But, anyhoo, giving you the benefit of the doubt-----------flowers are pretty, no? God MADE them.
Why not have them at one of the most important days in our life?
We cannot help it if pagan traditions & bad practicers of religion MADE something that GOD MADE become negative. We can have flowers, for goodness' sake!! They are a gift from God. Overall, we actually have very simple weddings & go on a non-elaborate, long "dates" after getting married... Can we not consumate the marraige in peace, also?
The Watchtower Society of Christian Witnesses does not promote ANY pagan traditions. EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We all , as JW's strive to keep our worship to God clean & free from defilements of any sort.

Nit-picking, if you ask me.
On the part of the questioner, not the Witnesses.

I personally know of No activites with Pagan ORIGINS/EXCLUSIVITY that we take part in. I do know that, just like Pagans, we eat food.

Do you know that many ancient civilizations put the image of their Gods or in the case of the Romans, Ceasers image, on their currency, usually coins? Ceaser was thought of as a God.
So to all JW's I will help you maintain your integrity. I volunteer to accept and dispose of all your currency.
EDIT TROLL TO TROLL: That is not the definition of Deism. Most Deists do not claim to know if God left or not. We simply have come to the conclusion that there is Intelligent Design, a God, if you will. Deists do not claim to know his will as arrogant Christians do, by using a book no one can prove was inspired by God and worshiping Jesus a person whom no one can prove ever existed. I can't prove the existence of God either. It's simply a conclusion I've come to.
