I was trying to delete a specific folder which had all my music because it had a corrupt file which was messing everything up.

I know once you "delete" it, it sends it to the recycle bin where you can still get it back, so thats what I was planning on doing. It was like a 6 GB folder, and a message prompt came up and I just said yes stupidly without reading it or anything.

I'm pretty sure the message was saying something like, that the folder is too big to be sent to the recycle bin so it must be deleted.

Now all my 6GB of music is gone so I was wondering if it still can be retreived some how. Please help! Thanks!

stop what you are doing on the computer and don't move any files. download http://www.recuva.com

install and run it before you do anything else.

the files are still on your hard disk but once you delete them the space they occupied is marked as 'available' so if you are doing any work with files on the computer it will access the space the software will be trying to recover the files from .

good luck...

you can try this program, though it will take you a while to recover all your files- http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,23108-order,1-page,1-c,alldownloads/description.html?findid=46552

or this- http://www.ontrackdatarecovery.com/file-recovery-software/
