As a Catholic, I can't help but chuckle. Isn't that kind of the reason Anglicans exist in the first place?

The reasons "Anglicans" exist in the first place is that Henry VIII wanted to divorce a wife which the pope would not allow, so good old "pious" Henry VIII created the church of England (Episcopalian, Anglican) and started calling the pope the "bishop of Rome". As an ex-Episcopalian and an illegitimate descendant of King Henry VIII, who cares?

Yeah, Catholic Light-Tastes great but less filling...Nothin' like repressed homosexuality to bring out the schism in otherwise rational people, alas.
