1. We haven't stopped evolving.
2. Big differences among related species point to a combination of large time and/or large scale changes in the environment.
3. We do not know if we will eventually evolve into man-birds or man-whatever. It depends on the time and the change in environment.
4. Humans evolved different external characteristics due to adapting into different environments.
5. I don't know, but I don't assume some god must have done it.
6 Out of chaos, the probability of something strange happening is increased, including abiogenesis.
7. It did not take 50 billion years for us to get as smart as we are now. Humans have been around less than 100 million years. What we don't know is how smart we have yet to become, and how long it will take to get there.
8. Because monkeys have diverged and evolved along their own separate branch, as humans have . Think of it this way. Christianity branched off Judaism. How come there are still Jews and Christians in the same era?
9. Monkeys have not stopped evolving.
10. The earth is most likely not unique. There are many other planets out there that we have not yet characterized that may be very similar to earth.

1. Have we? Actually why would we need to evolve further? Is there a particular environmental pressure that stops people with certain characteristics from procreating
2. different environment pressures
3. Why would they need to? is there an environmental pressure for men to evolve wings?
4. Environmental pressures
5. Gravity
6. Life didn't start until long long after the big bang
7. Apparently evolution takes a long time
8. Because we're completely different species. If a monkey had a human baby evolution goes out the window
9. See Q1
10. Oh so you've been to all the planets in the entire universe and know that there is no other planet out there like earth.
Just a couple of notes - being an atheist does not mean you have a degree in biology or astrophysics. The big bang and evolution are two completely different things. Finally - questions with regards to science should be asked in the science section. If I see you asking another one in R & S I will report you

You mean evolutionist, don't you? It's not synonymous with atheist.
1) We haven't. We're a work in progress.
2) Because life has a tendency to diversify and specialize: If all forms evolved in the same exact way, no ecosystem would be sustainable.
3) Clearly because we didn't. Mankind is a very specialized niche.
4) Race is actually an argument in favor of evolution. It shows how different people adapt to different environments.
5) Ask an astronomer.
6) Because there were no bacteria at that time - they came later.
7) Why not?
8) Because we're cousin species. Today's monkeys are a different branch stemming from a common ancestor.
9) They haven't. They became specialized to live in the environments in which they are - you would probably not live very long in the middle of the Borneo jungle.
10) It may or may not be. We don't know for sure. But it has a moon which intercepts most asteroid threats. It has an atmosphere that is good for life. It is just about the right distance from a star which is just about the right size. And it's god plenty of carbon and water. Highly improbable conditions, to be sure.

1. We haven't stopped evolving.
2. Mutation, so to speak?
3. No need for wings.
4. That is directly related to where a person lives and the heat and sunlight there.
5. Everything came out of it. Why would those be singled out by you?
6. Huh?
7. As smart as we are? That is part of evolution and progression. It doesn't happen over night. Certain questions have to be answered before new questions can be formed.
8. WTF???
9. Who says monkeys have stopped evolving?
10. Who says the Earth is unique. Scientists think they have another planet that very closely resembles the Earth.

1. we haven't stopped evolving
2. diversification in the gene pool is essential to a species survival
3. we have nothing to do with birds...we are man apes
4. black, white and asian skin has to do with the part of the world that you evolved in. the darker colored skin is to protect you from the severe sunlight in places like africa while the light colored skin allows your body to absorb more of the suns rays giving you essential Vitamin D
5. the sun like any star is a piece of the energy that was balled up before the big bang and the moon used to be volcanic magma before it cooled off.
6. the big bang was 15 billion years ago. the earth has only been around for 4.5 billion.
7. See answer 6
8. umm...ok see...when a daddy and a mommy really love each other.......
9. monkeys haven't stopped evolving...you should read about the lemurs of madagascar
10. the earth is unique because of the distance it is from the sun, the gravitational pull from the moon, and the rotational speed of the earth. all these things work in concert to sustain an ecosystem based on the oceans and to maintain a temperature that is ideal for all forms of life.

1. We haven't.
2. Read up up Abiogenesis and early Evolution.
3. What's a "man ape"? Human beings are apes.
4. Adaptation due to area's climate.
5. Read up on the Big Bang, because I'm not sure.
6. See answer 6, I'm not a scientist.
7.Because a drastic Evolutionary change doesn't happen over night.
8. Because they're monkeys and we are humans. A monkey has never had a human baby, nor did humans come from monkeys.
9. They haven't.
10. I don't know, maybe we're just the right distance away from our sun.

1. We haven't.
2. So that various organisms could adapt and survive. Or simply due to mutation.
3.Why didn't some whales evolve into leopards? This question makes no sense.
4. Mainly climate and culture.
5. Dust and gravity
6. This is just silly.
7. See #3...there is no timetable or recipe for evolution. It doesn't have to happen a certain way.
8. ha ha

1. We havn't stopped evolving. We evolve every day.
2. Because God is creative.
3. Because we didn't need to. We are intended to be like we are.
4. Environmental reasons. Evolution.
5. God snapped his fingers, and bang, it happened.
6. Maybe it gradually became. Maybe God breathed it onto the earth to evolve.
7. Thats how it goes. We get smarter.
8. We didn't evolve from monkeys, but common ancestors.
9. Monkeys are evolving.
10. Because God is unique.
I hope I helped.
Don't limit your questions to atheists only, i'm a Christian and firmly believe in evolution.

im not athiest...but I can answer a couple of these
the reason some people are black & white and asian is because that group of people lived in a place for so long that they adapted to their environment....
people in africa were always exposed to sun...so the sun made their skin darker...and if was darker they didn't get sunburn or anything....
in northern places it was cold so their nostrils are smaller so that they didn't get sick....
and humans didn't evolve from monkeys... monkeys and humans both evolved from the same homo-thingy...but humans werent monkeysbefore....
humans didn't turn into man birds because it was not logical...it would take millions of years for a man to become light and able to fly...birds evolved that way already and if people did they would just be competing!!!!

1. We haven't, it's a very slow process.
2.Because that's what evolution does.
3.Are you serious?
4.Mostly adaptation to climate and geographic isolation.
5.Big Bang---> Hydrogen---->stars---->stars go *boom*---->heavy elements----->planets and more stars...etc...
6.Look at #5
7.50billion? No, only about 2-3 million years, and because evolution is an incremental process.
8.Humans and monkeys share a common ancestor, humans and monkeys branched out from that ancestor as seperate species
9.They haven't.
10. Because it supports life, a rarity in the cosmos. Due to several different circumstances, such as the distance from our star, atmospheric composition, mild climate compared to other planetary bodies, temperature range is not too extreme.
