Target loads in general are lead, including the great Winchester AA's.
Most off the shelf shotshell loads are indeed lead, unless otherwise specified. About the only use for steel, tungsten, bismuth, etc., are for waterfowl and other certain hunting applications - not target.

Normally steel loads will say steel on the box. Your Winchester AA target loads are lead I can simply tell that by what you said target shells.

Winchester AA Trap Loads have always been lead since their introduction many years ago. They are not nor would they ever be used for hunting Ducks & Geese so there is no reason to make them with anything but lead shot........

its lead if it doesnt say steel. steel also puts more wear on the barrel and tight chokes dont like steel shot

yes why target shells are to hit the place and flatten ,steel pellets are to penetrate,, like through the head and necks of birds ,so they dont poison the eaters of said birds or so on ,,also lead doesnt carry as far into the sky or the distance because of the weight
