Well, sure this is depression, and it is def because of some tragedy or some even that has occured in ur life. something has been bothering you, and its effecting you emotionally, however, dont go on any depression pills, you need to get close ties with someone you trust, and talk to them about it, it will make u feel better. this happend to a friend of mines, whileshe broke up with her husband..........you will get better, but there is one part in you that needs to be fixed, and its something that has happened, you need to go bak n fix it. or else you will remain this way. if not, contact your doc! good luck.

I have had the same problem before... the thing you are missing is motivation, find a goal or somthing that keeps you interested. Another thing is it's best to not ask yourself why you are doing things because 99% of the time it will go downhill from there. Also if you are smoking any pot cut back on it too much will destroy your motivation and make you lazy (i speak from experience). Also if you dont have a religion try to read up on some of the ways it talks about your purpose in life (I had been neglecting my christianity but as soon as i started reading the bible again it started to make sense why i was here and what i was supposed to do). It will also give you good goals to strive for. Hope this helps e-mail me if you need anymore help.

Yes, no or low energy, lost interest in things you used to like, are classic symptoms of depression. I know because I have been down that road most of my life, and it is something i struggle with even tho I am taking 75 mg of Effexor daily. Mine is caused by a chemical imbalance in my brain...I was born with it. My youngest daughter has it, too.
Please start with your regular doctor, have a good physical. He can recommend a specialist and/or a therapist. If therapy alone doesn't work for you, you may be put on medication. I tried several before I found the right one for me. I have been on Effexor for 3 years, and I can enjoy Christmas again. I have a really bad time with my depression and anxiety at hoilday time--even birthdays. So even with meds I still fight those "down" feelings at times.
I have been thru therapy, didn't do diddly for me, only my Effexor helps me, and alot of self-talk.
Good luck to you. I will pray for you, too.

This is definitely depression, which I have a lot of experience with. i wish I could tell you how to feel better, but if I could then Id be able to help myself when I feel this way. Medication may help, it helped me for a few years. Alo, if you have the time and money, therapy might be a good idea. You wont know if medication or therapy is the best treatment though until you try it.

You should discuss this with your doctor. Lack of interest is a key sign of depression. Maybe your doctor can suggest medication or therapy that would help you.

Do you think you may be suffering from depression? Lack of interest is a key symptom. Check it out, and see if you think you may be suffering from it. Then perhaps you can get on medication.
