i know that it is not herpees i get them all the time. i also have braces

There is a homeopathic medicine called "fucus vesiculosous," which is abbreviated as "fucus ves," which is excellent for canker sores. "Fucus ves" is derived from brown seaweed. It is safe and it gives almost immediate pain relief.

You can find "fucus ves" in most vitamin/health food stores in tablet or liquid form. You can grind the tablets into a paste and then apply it to your canker sore gingerly. As I said, you should get relief almost immediatedly, and then you should re-apply as necessary.

Make a rinse of warm water and salt and gurgle with it twice a day. Works wonders!
