We have a marriage license. Want to get married, do not want a ceremony.

Just call the courthouse in LA where you got the license and ask them for an appointment to get married on whatever day it is that you have chosen. It should be as simple as that, unless they are booked for that day.

We got our license at the Santa Ana courthouse, and they actually offered to marry us right then and there, but we had a wedding already planned so we didn't take them up on it. They also mentioned they were totally booked for the next day, which is why I suggest making an appointment.

Good luck, and congrats on your upcoming nuptials!

Civil ceremonies can be held downtown at the courthouse. Either a commissioner or a clerk can marry you. Call the courthouse and ask if they have certain times for the ceremony and if there is a small fee to pay. There are also several officiants that can marry you. You also need blood tests so if you don't have them, get them. Also you don't say how old you are, so if your are minors, you need a parents permission.

call the city hall and ask where they hold civil ceremonies.
some are done at the justice of the peace court. or you can have a judge come to where you are and preform the ceremony.
