the 577 t-rex is made by A-squared Rifles It is meant as a last resort rifle. No one I can think of would use it for hunting. This is meant to stop a charging pissed the hell off rhino or elephant. Other than that this rounds serves absolutely no useful purpose.

Close but no cigar. There's the .700 Nitro Express (no longer in production) and others. What's the strongest, biggest, fastest is difficult to answer because records are always being broken. Impressive as the T-Rex is have you ever heard of the 4-bore, 2-bore, 1-bores? These literally fire cartridges the size of soda cans. H

You are actually talking about the .577 Tyrannosaur, made by A-Square, Inc. It shoots a 750 grain bullet at 2450 feet per second. The rifle weighs about 13 lbs. and has 3 mercury recoil reducers built into it; one in the forend and 2 in the buttstock. I have fired one belonging to another hunter. The recoil was not as bad as you might think, and the gun was surprisingly accurate, given the type of gun that it is. The only thing it is really good for is stopping large charging animals at close range. Its trajectory is not very flat, the gun is heavy, and it kicks more than you would want for normal hunting use. And the ammunition is extremely costly, although for its intended purpose, it is well worth its price.

I think A-squared is the only one. I saw a video of a guy shooting one a while back and he looked punch drunk after he fired it. That is one rifle that draws blood on both ends.
