Problem "is" there are "no" reward or prosperity clauses Jesus stated outside those we are to receive in heaven and not earth. People though like to "twist" his truths to suit them to live a lifestyle full of LIES.

For Jesus said, "Many will say Lord, Lord" but he will know none of them. Many christians use the words but don't know how to "abide" by the RULES Jesus set down.

There are some yes- especially if you watch a lot of tv evangelists, However there are many churches that worship Jesus and make it all about Him- and I am so glad that God sent my family to a church that does this. Pray and God will guide you too.

Yes, I believe u r rite, only most of them get their messages from TV. A lot of them r teaching prosperity, but most r teaching how to get along with ur husband/wife, kid, parents, in-laws, bosses, the people u work for/with.
Very few r teaching/preaching the gospel.
I really believe we should get our eyes off of these men & on to the commission we were instructed 2 do.
Like 1 John 4:7,8.

Yes, and that bothers me. I also feel bad when I see churches stressing the letter of the law, like the Pharisees did. It's time to get back to the words of Jesus.

At my church we focus on Jesus, what will happen without Him and what will happen when we trust and worship Him regardless of what we gain as blessings although blessings are what believers reap as we are obedient and keep on trying, that is all we can do we are not and never will be perfect.

No. I've seen religious shows a couple of times (I used to press record and pause over and over on my VCR to make the pastor say funny things and make funny sounds) and all they talk about is the fact that everyone is going to hell except for the Baptists. Obviously it was a Baptist program.

Hard to answer as I do not know what goes on in other churches. Why worry about it though? You just do what you need to do.
