Is it considered an overdose if you take 2500mg of tylenol at once (14 yr old), when the bottle says to take 1000mg at once? 5 pills instead of 2; purposly to hurt youself..not kill, but hurt.

i didnt do ANYTHING. sheesh my sister did this a few years back and me and my friend were arguing on whether this is an overdose or not.

Yes, that's an overdose. Taking any more than the recommended amount of medication (according to the medication's specific instructions) would be considered an overdose. While it most likely (that's not a guarantee though) wouldn't kill a person, it would definitely hurt a person's liver. Hope this helps.

It's a minor overdose but 5 pills will usually not hurt you at all. Some people take that amount.

Yes. Purposefully intending to do harm to yourself by taking more than the prescribed amount of medication is considered an overdose.

I dont think this is an overdose at all, people take more than the prescribed meds all the time and are alright. I wouldn't do it regularly, but it wont kill you. so my answer would be no it would hurt you.

why would you even take them to hurt yourself? knowing you could have something wrong and kill yourself anyways. also if it gets you into the hospital they call the law enforcement and its a fine to try and kill yourself in some states or a minor can loose or never get their drivers license until age 22.

since youre 14 i figure youre small and your body cant handle that much medication, go to the doctor hun.
