It is just another ploy to get people into their religeon. Just like you said clearance sales. People flock into the store just to get what they want because after the end comes they can't get it anymore.
The only difference is is that with religeon the church wins not the people. They go in their thinking they need this beautiful comfort to end their lives with and end up stuck. The church gets their numbers.
The funny thing is, once the end doesn't come the church says that the lord was merciful. What a convenient lie, just like the bible and religeon in general.

Telling us the exact date of Armageddon would have mass conversion to Christianity for all the wrong reasons.Jehovah God wants us to worship him because we love him and not for some selfish reasons.
He has however, provided us with countless signs to look out for that give us warning of the impeding destruction soon to befall this wicked system.
Just like Noah, who preached for some 50 or so years before the flood came,so too do Jehovahs Witnesses try to warn as many people as they can before the end does finally come.In the meantime Jehovah is giving people ample opportunity to turn their lives around and come be his worshipers. But unfortunately just like the days of Noah, people are not only not listening but they are mocking and ridiculing.

I saw a bloke on the street the other day, carrying a sign that read "The End Is Near"
And yesterday he wasn't there!
Spooky.

It's because the account at the bank keeps getting NEAR "zero" for these religions. They just don't tell you that it will be the end of the world for THEM and not you if they don't keep this RACKET going every so often.

Are we there yet?
Not yet. But you can see some of the signs of the last days.
So we are near.
Nothing else needs to be said.

Jesus was supposed to come back shortly after the death/crucifixion/resurrection thing. The Bible makes this clear. He didn't. Christianity is therefore false.

Yes, very much so! 50 years ago evangelicals thought jesus would come back within 50 years. He hasn't. And everyone still says Jesus will be back within 50 years. He won't.
