for the LDS (Mormon) church to do baptisims for the dead? I would think if the person wanted to be baptisied Mormon they would have while they were alive..........

well, i suppose if they had expressed a will to do so while alive but never got around to it, sure. :/ though either way, it's a dead body. it's not going to care.

As an atheist, I don't think it matters much. In a weird way it's kinda cute... at least they want everyone to go to "heaven," unlike many other christian religions.

I don't think that's okay, but I don't think it matters, as the person is already dead and therefore doesn't exist anymore.
