What do I wear to a political summit?

It will have several presidential candidates and many congressmen in attendance/speaking. I need an outfit that will work for both lunch and dinner...any ideas? Oh and it's located in Florida, so no winter clothes for me.

...the traditinal knee length "little black dress" with a jacket will "dress up" or "dress down" w/ jewelry to just about any situation unless it's formal
