Luke is the only one who uses this way in his writings. I'd rather take Jesus' quote from Matthew to go into all the world baptizing in the name of the Father ,the Son and the Holy Spirit.Jesus' words(the Bible is inerrant you know and must admit)themselves command that! What's the matter with Y'all? You gonna go with Luke or the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?
Luke knew at that time in history the authority of baptism was in two camps.John's baptism as Acts attests to,and by the authority of Jesus.
It would then go, "By the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ,I baptize you in the name of the Father ,the Son,and the Holy Spirit".
That is why Paul asks the men ,by who's baptisim were you baptized?" and they said "by John's baptism".The same was with Apollos.
Trust Jesus' teachings, you can't go wrong.

I even have been baptized via immersion when I popular Jesus as my Lord and Savior, interior the call of the Son and the daddy and the Holy Spirit. The area of the accepting Jesus is likewise repenting from the sins and following His teachings.

Being baptized in the name of Jesus IS the scriptural mode of baptism. Father,Son,and Holy Ghost are all just titles of Jesus. His NAME is Jesus. People baptized in the titles must be re-baptized in Jesus' name not vise versa to be saved.

Scripture shows that John's baptism was a symbol of repentance, but not a sacrament.
It did not confer grace. In the Acts it is clear that those who received Christian baptism also received the Holy Spirit, had their sins forgiven and became members of Christ, and thus of the Church.
It is the foundational sacrament, the only one Philip thought necessary to confer on the Ethiopian eunuch.

"Being of the faith where this originated, "baptism" was a ritual the Hebrews copied from the Egyptians. Symbolically, it's in cleanliness we present ourselves to God. In the case of Jesus, it symbolically represents a person's willingness to be reborn to a new way of living. Jesus said that later he would provide a comforter to his faithful who are baptized. All in all it's just a "ritual" which has come down through the ages to make oneself clean prior to standing in the presence of God.
To Jesus, it means you have accepted him in your life so as to provide that comforter to help you in this life. The holy "ghost" or "SPIRIT."

Paul gave us the gospel in 1 Cor. 15:1-4 and made ABSOLUTELY NO MENTION OF WATER BAPTISM.
Water baptism is not required to get to heaven.. Salvation is by grace through faith alone.
The name used in baptism denote OWNERSHIP.. So whether in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost or the name of Jesus Christ, it is only IN ASSOCIATION WITH.
Romans 5:1 tells us that we are JUSTIFIED BY FAITH. Justified = JUST-IF-I'D NEVER SINNED. If you believe sin is not dealt with until water baptism then you are calling the justification by faith a lie..
If you believe you are not saved until you are baptized then you are calling Romans 8:7 a lie. It tells us the unregenerated person CAN NOT SUBMIT TO GOD'S WILL. So you can't have the lost unsaved person yielding themselves to water baptism.
Thanks for your time!!

It means the same thing whether it says in the name of Jesus or in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit because all it implies is by the authority of God. Saying in the name of means what it represents. In the name of Jesus or in the name of the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit means all authority, power, the character, mind and will of God and all the other attributes of God. Because Jesus is God, either one can be used because it represents all that He is or all that the trinity is, God .

Jesus spoke to Paul (Spiritually) on the road to Damascus and had
an experience which placed him from being an enemy of Jesus to a very faithful servant.
