In Genesis, the Bible states that God made Adam and Eve as the only people in the world.
They had two sons, Cain and Abel...now four people in the world.
Cain killed Abel (down to three).
Cain was cast out by God...went west of Eden...and got married.
So...where did his wife come from if there was no one else in the world?

So, Milani...are you saying that Cain's wife was an unmentioned daughter of Adam and Eve...making her marriage to Cain incestuous?

Ok, Warrior Pooflinger...Lilith is an interesting thought...but:
1. If she wouldn't sleep with the only man on Earth...who fathered her kids?
2. If Adam did indeed submit to her preferred positions, would her daughter not then be Cain's half sister, making the marriage incestuous?

Go back and read Genesis 1:26-27. "And let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the foul of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him, male and female created he them."

Adam wasn't created until later on in Chapter 2. Genesis 2:7. and Eve was created from Adam in Genesis 2:21-22.

This is just how I interpret it from what I read. To me, God created Adam and Eve to reside in the Garden of Eden and when they "goofed" so to speak, they were sent out to be with the other people. Nowhere in the bible have I ever read that Adam and Eve were the VERY first man and woman, nor the only ones. If anyone can show me, I would be happy to read it for myself.

Cain married one of his sisters since Adam and Eve had many children after Abel's death.

"After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters." (Gen. 5:4)

Scientists say humans evolved out of monkeys; The Bible says we were created but only Adam and Eve. If both are correct then Cain, the son of created humans, married an ape-descended evolved human, from Africa according to both the Leakies and the Bible.

Genesis was written in a language that had no articles (like "the" "an" etc) and was pretty primitive all round as far as written languages go. There were very few grammatical rules back then. Now try translating that into a sophisticated language, taking into account a primitive man's view of the world (Socrates believed in Spontaneous Generation, for crying out loud).

Like, you really want to go there?

Genesis was written by its author as a myth, not as a historical account. God expects us to read it as myth and look for the larger teachings it offers.

It's like asking the color of the house where Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother lived. It's a detail that is not relevant to the point of the story, as is the question of where Cain got his wife.

When you stand before God, He's not going to ask you, "Ok, did you figure out the Cain's wife stuff?"
He's going to ask you, "Why should I let you into heaven?"
Either you can answer that one or not.
Nothing else matters.

BECAUSE, By the deeds of the law there shall no person be justified in God’s sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin and all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:20, 23
THEN, They all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thessalonians 2:12 Also I say unto you, whosoever shall confess me (Jesus) before men, him shall the Son of man (Jesus) also confess before the angels of God: But he that denies me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. Luke 12:8-9
HOWEVER, The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
FOR, Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me. John 14:6
THEREFORE, If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. Romans 10:9
THEN, He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white robes; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Revelation 3:5
SO, That whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:15

The story is of course fiction. We know from several flavors of evidence that there were people around long before the purported time of Adam and Eve. See:
