Um.... You would have to be able to fly, parachute, and swim for all of them. They are things you would need to be willing to do if you were ever in combat.
I personally like marines, they're hot, and their boot camp is so intense that you would be able to transfer to any other branch without having to go through their boot camp also. You can't do that with other branches of military.

Um...you could always learn to swim. And only an idiot doesn't get a little adrenaline rush when the static lines are checked, the equipment check is done, and the jumpmaster calls "30 seconds!" while you're waiting for the red light to go green. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least a little scared (and usually quite a bit relieved) each time as I shuffled down the aisle towards my rendezvous with destiny. By the time you realize you're afraid of heights, you'll be looking up at that T-10D (big and round!) and making sure you don't sky-shark and tangle up with the guys around you. You'll be too busy to be scared as you pull slip and prepare for the controlled crash that is a paratrooper's grand entrance to the fight on the ground.
Visit the recruiter. Tell him, "I want to be a f#@!ing Ranger. Period." He'll set you up with a contract that'll work like this. You'll finish basic, go through the Airborne school (which is a joke by the way--too easy), then get your butt to RIP, which could well be the hardest thing you ever do in your life. And the best. Survive (that's a figure of speech--mostly), and you'll be working with some of the best trained guys in the Army. You'll advance faster, get leadership experience earlier, get to use cooler/newer toys, and you'll kick a whole lot of a$$ along the way.
Best of all, if you still have penis envy at that point, you'll be set up to put a package in for selection to SF, CAG, AWG, or a number of other "special" groups. And if that's not your cup of tea, the SEALs take guys from all services.

Well kinda "sh** is the Army giving you? And what's wrong with being "big headed Marine?" ya know they do go thru alot to become Marines, which is why they are big headed. To be a SeAL you must be able to swim 50 yrds. (to enter) That's a problem? In the
Army you will have to repell down Heights. I'm scared of heights and I'm a woman, I rapelled down from heights to graduate. Women Marines do this frequently. Perhaps the Military isn't your calling but you can find out jobs that support the Military without you having to endure the real stuff that is called for

I wouldn't recommend SEAL as you have to do tons of swimming and jump from planes in something called halo which means you dont open your parachute till very close to the ground and HAHO which is you open very high and you glide down for sometimes hours to arrive undetected into your destination. BUDS is very very difficult and challenges you over a period of like 7 months i believe where as ranger school is i believe 3 months but constant working no time off. It's your choice no one can decide for you.Good luck

To quote Roy Boehm, Godfather of the SEALS, "s#!t, boy, we can teach you to swim!" If you want to go spec war, go for the best. Join the Navy. But do your research before you talk to a recruiter. They WILL lie through their teeth to get you to sign up. You will have to be in for a while before they will accept you into the BUDS course. Find out what specialty is best suited for you in the mean time, that will also ensure that they will look at you.

Well, you will jump out of airplanes in the Rangers or Airborne, and have to swim to be a SEAL, so I guess you are going into the marines.

Tar Heel, three of the four you mentioned require you to exit an aircraft. Enlist in the army and sign up to be an All American. Which ever route you go, stick with your goals and dreams. However, any of the above will require commitment and 110% plus from you at all times.

My husband is a Marine. It takes a special kind of person to be one. It's not easy to get in. You might want to try the army.
