I don't know enough about the afterlife to say, but I DO know what will happen with those you leave behind:

If you're feeling suicidal, please, call a local crisis hotline. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem, and you'll leave shattered people behind to go on living as best they can with the agony.

You will not be forgiven b/c you will not be alive to ask for forgiveness. If you believe in God, why don't you trust him enough to help you? Don't do it. You will not get a second chance at life (this life). There is always a solution to every problem. You just have to have enough courage to stick it out. Love yourself and your family enough to try to work things out. Trust in God to make life better for you. He loves you. Don't let the devil win. Don't give up the battle. Life can be beautiful. Talk to a counselor or someone you can truly trust. It may hurt today, but it is not going to hurt forever. Give life another chance. Life is hard, but it is most rewarding when you tackles those obstacles and win the victory. True failure is when you fall and don't even try to get back up. No matter how many times you fall, keep getting back up. You become a winner every time you try. Take care and God bless.

How can you ask for forgiveness BEFORE you commit the act? He does forgive ALL sins-- but you have to ask him. From what I understand, when you commit suicide, you r eternally stuck on a plane that never moves,(somewhere in the middle). Would'nt that be just like your own personal hell? But seriously, if your planning to commit suicide, you might need to find somebody to talk to.

I don't know about all that after life stuff or what ever but I do know it would be a horrible mistake to kill your self! I don't know your reasons for wanting to do such a thing but its such a permanent solution to a temporary problem. No matter how old your children are they still need you. I really think you should seek some psychiatric help, it could do you good. Good luck.

Exodus 20:13 and Deuteronomy 5:17—"You shall not kill." Suicide is killing yourself. In the New Testament, Christ takes this command even further when he says, "You have heard it said to men of old, ‘You shall not kill; and whoever kills shall be liable to judgment.’ But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother shall be liable to the council, and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be liable to the hell of fire."
I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want the last thing I do on earth to be a violation of a commandment.
