How can I get my driver license in MD if I am new in USA ? (I have my country's license)

Please tell me step by step what I have to do to get the driver license fast.

You will need to schedule an appointment at MVA to have your documents examined.

You can drive in the US on a foreign license for up to 6 months in most states, as long as you are a tourist.

If you become a resident, or if the 6 months expire, you must get a state license. You must take a written exam and a driving exam. Either or both may be waived depending on which country you are from. You can go to the MVD website and make an appointment.

well because you still have your old drivers id i believe you came here legaly. i thank you for that. but all you have to do to find out is go to the city hall or go to the dmv or department of vehicles to find out.
