Any reputable jeweler can do the engraving for you. I'd go to a family-owned local place rather than a mall jeweler. Usually the mall places aren't jewelers (they're salespeople), and they'll send your ring out somewhere to get the work done. I'd rather not take the chance on it getting lost, and so would find a good, independent jeweler around town.

Qwerty is right, take it to any locally owned jewelry shop- or go down to Jeweler's Row if your in the city. My jeweler did our engraving for free because we bought all of our rings from him, so I can't give you an idea of how much it would cost.
