No offense but I am bothered by the phrasing of questions like these.. Yes everybody should try to be nice for the most part, but the reality is that everyone treats somebody else badly at some point in their life, so we are all guilty of that. However I am a strong believer in treating others how you would want to be treated.

I believe that if we treat people badly we will be treated badly in return. And if we are kind and loving towards others, we will be treated well, most of the time, by other people (or at least have a reputation as a good person!).

I believe that you will get punished for the sins you commit, including treating someone badly. I believe you should follow the Golden Rule, because it's right. I believe you should never expect anything in return, because you should be kind out of love.

Well yes,you treat people as you find the.Having said this, someone can treat you with the utmost respect, but then treat the person beside you with distaste. What if you found out these people had committed some heinous crime, yet they treated you ok.That is something l have always wondered about people. We never know who we are standing next to.

I don't believe in karmatic justice, bad luck or anything of the sort. I do, however, believe that if you treat people well, they will in turn treat you well. If you are a nice person, you will earn more respect and people will enjoy your company. If you're a dick then people are gonna treat you like a dick back. This isn't always the case though... like guys who are ***** to girls usually get more girls.

You should treat others with understanding and compassion because it is the right thing to do.

it is always good to treat others the way you want to be treated. i am a firm believer that if you treat someone bad, it may not come back on you and it may not come back when you think. just think when you have kids or someone you care about very much gets hurt some kind of way it may happen tomorrow or 30years from now. always remember.....IF YOU WANT RESPECT YOU MUST GIVE RESPECT!!! JUST TURN THE OTHER CHEEK TO IGNORANCE

The golden rule is in all belief systems because it's a law of the universe. When you treat someone poorly, you show your subconscious that you "approve" of that and it occurs to you - sometime, somewhere.
Also, if you are negative inside all the time, no matter the reason, you draw like energy to you.

Interesting question. Yes however treating them as I would want to be treated, means treating them as they wish themselves to be treated for who they are, not treating them as if they were me. In other words Don't make a pork roast for your Jewish friends, don't crack open the good wine for your Muslim friends, don't throw your Witness friend a big birthday bash...
