There was never any Noha's ark. Btw, I'm a Christian, just not gullible and I don't take things in the Bible literally because they simply aren't meant to be taken literally.

This argument is as trite as it is old, and it might be deliberately deceptive. Noah did not get all of the animals on the ark. Not even God did. No fish needed to be taken. No marine reptiles needed to be taken. Only the land-based vertebrates needed to be taken (one of the definitions of "creeping things" is "reptiles.") God took care of the rest, just like he took care of the plants. Subspecies were not an issue, and sometimes not even species. Only one pair of bears was needed; only one pair of the great cats was probably needed; only one pair each of horses and asses; etc. The extra numbers for the clean animals helped feed the carnivores. There weren't any toilets in those days. Used straw, feces, etc., could be thrown out of a window. If Noah had even half a brain, he would have taken weaned animals with him, young enough not to be a problem for a few months, at least. In the case of the food animals, pregnant females would have been best. Then again, we can't discount the possibility of a miracle in the story of the Flood. Maybe the animals slept for several months during the voyage. The ones who hibernate probably did, anyway. If the earth truly was divided in the days of Peleg (after the Flood), then there was no barrier to the migration of many different kinds of animals, but that doesn't mean that large numbers of them made the journey. After all, the century of Noah's ministry was plenty of time for dozens of generations of many kinds of animals, plenty of time for animals to arrive from all points of the globe. If God wants something done, he'll help it get done. If you're going to mock our beliefs, please at least be a little more scientific about it.

Take a dog. I have a border collie, most of my neighbors own pit bulls, a few have german shepherds, or little funny things that are closer to cats. All the genes for all those "kinds" were present in whatever the first dog was, probably close to a wolf. All the giraffe kinds, elephants... Just like there was enough DNA in Adam and Eve to make all the variations of humans today, there was enough variety in a few reptiles to make gila monsters and crocs and alligators.
Like you share facial characteristics with your grandparents from both sides, as one reptile headed for Australia, and another for America, they became more like their parents in those areas. Now we have different species. And more, from a fewer amount of animals.
This is not evolution, since there is not an increasing complexity in DNA information. It is de-evolution, because DNA info becomes more limited.
There are plenty of books on scientific biogenetics by Bible-believing authors that support this theory. Easy to read ones too. Email me if you want more info.
What also should be said is the ark was huge. The size of the biggest tanker liners on the oceans today. And modern research has learned from the shape described in Genesis, more perfect dimensions for a craft able to handle very rough seas.
God bless.

There would have been too many animals for any kind of ship. Even if only domesticated animals were involved. But it doesn't really matter. There is no record of any kind of world wide flood. There is no record of any kind of huge ship from the the time humans first learned to build with wood. It is just a fictional story, a fairy tale.

I just can't believe that anyone of this age and time would even consider believing this story to be true.

First of all Noah and his family went in first and not the animals this was the first miracle Genesis 7 vs 7, and 'Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons' wife's entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.' The next vs tells us that only after Noah had entered did the animals enter.
Just had to clarify that:-) but getting back to your question, yes, many different animal species went in and some of them have become extinct since then.

But here is the interpretation of this, would you like to hear it?
You see, no-one can just go into the ark, but only sinless and righteous people like Noah and his family.
The ark represents Heaven, and therefore only sinless and righteous people are allowed in. The animals represent unsaved people, and they have to be brought in by the saints of God who have been truly born again by the water and the Spirit (John 3:5).
So if you have not been truly born again by the water and the Spirit then you will not be allowed in.
This is extremely important, for even Paul said, that we need to check our salvation to see if it is whole.
If your church does not believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit or is ignorant of it then you are in great trouble.

You have to find the true servants of God who are preaching this true gospel so that you can become sinless and righteous before God right now.
I can lead you to them....but you have to be honest and contact me.

seems to me, if you take the Bible as fact, the Ark would be the perfect arguement for the fact that evolution is a natural process.

if there are thousands of species that have been discovered since the Ark, then it is pretty safe to say that some of those most likely evolved from their ancestors on the Ark.

i believe God created a world that evolves to show us that God is powerful. only an Intelligent Force could so exactly craft evolution. is it so hard to believe in the possibility that creation and evolution are both part of God's design.

I'm neither Xian nor heathen. But while you are questioning, why not ask how they could have had all the species and the required food for all of them. What about insects like the cicada? How about fresh and salt water marine life? One of them would have been destroyed.

These are just a few of the major problems with this myth.

If you believe in the story, God directed the animals to go to Noah and the Ark - he didn't have to go find them - he was too busy building the ark anyway! Wouldn't be too difficult for an all-powerful God to get some animals to do what He wants.

The idea of all animals being descended from only two of their kind is impossible. If you understand the ecological pyramid of biomass, you know that for each trophic level can only support a biomass of 10% of itself above it. That means that you would have to have ten times the mass of flies than the mass of frogs for the two species to survive. It would be impossible for to mice to support two mice.

P.S. Your statement of "Christians only. No heathens need answer" is a misuse of disjunctive syllogism. Disjunctive syllogism is dividing all possible outcomes/situations into two categories, then stating that if something is not of one category, then it must belong to the other. Simply speaking, it means putting everything in black and white. What I mean to say is that there are more groups than just "Christian" ad "heathen." The word "heathen" implies the belief in a pantheon of gods.

I think it was alot of the species in Noah's area.
And the flood was also in Noah's particular area.
To him and the people around him, their area WAS the world.
And all the species there WERE all the species on earth.

Noah had a secret call to get them in then the undiscovered ones went back into hiding after they were released from the ark. Pre-flood scientists were a clever bunch.
