I manage a pub, im 24 and have an amazing team behind me. But recently hired this woman who now turns out to be a bit crazy. Its like she has a split personality. She also has a major problem taking direction from someone younger than her. When i ask her to do something she point blank refuses.

She has had verbal warnings and now a written one. The next step is to fire her but i've been told by several people that she can be violent so if i sack her who's to say she wont do something? She has already said to one of the staff that she LOVES this pub and one day will be the manager even if she has to "dispose" of me first... I would naturally have a witness present for the firing but what about after?

What is the best way to deal with this? Its obvious she has to leave but hows best to do it?

Ya... I was a hot young female manager of 20 blue callored guys in a warehouse. Chances are ur crazy chick has drove your team crazy too. You probly have their blessing to fire her, especially if she is not obediant and does what she wants. It probly drives the staff crazy. If the staff doesn't see that have them try to teach her stuff or work with her so they see what you see. Yes tell her the "I am sorry it's just not working out" speech and tell her why. Even though the things you tell her to do may not make sense to her she needs to understand that every business has a certain way they do things especially resturaunt chains. Customers go there and expect it to be a certain way. Everything from the way the food on the plate is set up and how the drinks are made. If it is not the way the customers expect it to be they may not come back. The place of business stays the same and the employees have to conform to it. Thats what the owners want and you must respect that. You have bosses too.

Hope that helps you. But ya watch your back and ban her from coming in there, restraining order and be walked to your car. She will cool down, and I think she is all talk, and trying to bully you. Let her know you mean business and will do whats nessesary and she will leave you alone. I have had some psychos and a restraining order shuts them up and actually scrares the crap out of them. I have filed 3 in my life time.

Good luck Girl Friend,
Regards,
Attractor of Psychos :-)

If she has a history of violence and you are in fear for your life then you need to file a police report, get a restraining order against her and a no trespass warrant issued so that she cannot come back on the premises once you terminate her. Since she also doesnt do anything you ask her to do, you can fire her for insubordination. My suggestion would to be instead of firing her face to face, that you call her on the phone and tell her that she's not needed anymore and that she has been barred from returning to the pub. you also should have a witness present when you call her and should also try to record the conversation as well and do inform her that you are recording the conversation when you terminate her. I hope this helps you.

Carefully document everything you do IN WRITING. Be sure to discuss your plans with your boss and express your concerns. Before you decide to offer another written or verbal reprimand, you need to decide ahead of time exactly what you will and will not do if she pleads for another chance.

You might also need to consider that your boss could be testing you by seeing how you handle a tough situation. So don't ask the boss to do your job. But DO communicate with your boss so that s/he will know what is going on.

Also be sure to have help standing by just outside the door when next you attempt to counsel or fire the woman. Let her know that help is just outside without making it a threat. Be aware that if she wants to get rowdy, you give her ammunition by getting rowdy back at her. But if you treat her professionally, just state the facts, and tell her exactly why she's having the given action, you are in the right. That way, neither you nor your boss can be sued.

The next step is to be sure to record your interviews. If she makes a threat in it, take the recording to your boss right away. Say something like, "I think it handled it right but I want it known that the woman threatened me." Then ask the boss to keep the evidence until the whole thing blows over.

Simple dismiss her on the grounds that she is not a good fit the the work environment. Do not mention her "split" personality or her comments about becoming a manager. Meanly include that her duties have not been completed when assigned if pressed for details.

No negative comments should be recorded or made as if she is nutty, she will no doubt try to hire a lawyer to press unfair termination. Keep all records for future needs if it comes up.

i think for you. it style of feels like the extra you attempt to ideas your man or woman business enterprise, the extra they arrive when you. Psycho people can p.c.. out people who're superb and then they flow in for the kill. i understand what you propose--in case you artwork with them you could no longer circumvent it. no person element works. you need to attempt some thing diverse everytime. Unreasonable people now and back do purely no longer pay attention. I even have slightly a shuttle to artwork so I pay attention to comedy CDs or classical song--you does not have self assurance what a distinction it makes! that's all i will do to get the strain out. All i will do is exchange me, regrettably, i can not exchange every physique else. i've got replaced jobs some cases and broke off friendships to get faraway from the psychos. yet this does not continually artwork. good success!

You must tell her that she's fired. Even if she loves the pub, you must tell her that she will never be the manager, and there is no way that she can dispose of you, you must always have a witness present, and basically tell her to **** off.

Keep your cool, be professional. Sit her down when she first arrives, have an employee you trust with you. Hand her her paycheck, if you have it or explain that it will be mailed to her. Say, "I'm sorry it's not working for you here and I'm afraid we are going to have to let you go." She will probably rant and rave. Do not answer any questions or react. Say nothing (important) but, "I'm sorry, but it's just not working out. Thank you." Get up, gesture to the door. If she won't leave or makes a scene, call the police immediately.

Speak to your manager and have them attend the dismissal meeting, prepare well and ensure everything is done by the book. Most people that act in this way are all mouth

She needs to be fired quickly. I'd just fire her and deal with problems if they arise.

Most people are all talk but if she dose anything I'd file a police report and restraining order banning her from the bar.

Well. Your going to have to stab her in the bladder
Eat her head
Kill her family
Kick her lifelessbody
Set it on fire
Bury under water
Shoot It
Chop Her Up Into Tiny Peices
Burn The Peices
Burn The Ashes
Put Ashes in a bag
Throw in ocean
Fire bullets at bag in ocean
Empty ashes

Done And Done

Or Ask A Man To Help You.

Your Choice.
