I know it's impossible to tell if a hamster is male or female. But how do hamster get pregnant and have babies?

It is actually very easy to tell if a hamster is male or female. They breed by the female being placed in the male's cage when she is in season. They will mate for several minutes. 16 days later, if the breeding was successful, she will have between 3 and 18 babies. In 4 weeks, the babies will be weaned and have to be put into individual cages or else they will fight and kill each other.

Who told you it was impossible to tell if a hamster is male or female?? Pretty much any mammal is able to be sexed by the human eye.
When you put a male and female together, they mate and the female gets pregnant. She has the babies. The end.

it's kind of weird watching them give birth. it may look like they're dying, but in a few mins you'll see little pink hamsters in the bedding with unusually big heads. Hopefully the babies are not in piece, the mother sometimes eats them. Don't touch the babies, don't. in a few days, the mom will be carrying them by their scruffs and running around with them in their mouthes. that is normal. they get fat when theyre pregnant, and the get pregnant just like us. put a boy and girl in the same cage, and if they like eachother... well, you know. :)

Hamsters are mammals, and get pregnant the usual way. They are live bearers, although hamster parents will eat their young under certain circumstances. If you are trying to breed them, consult your local pet shop and provide plenty of nesting material.

WELL THE THEY GIRL HAMSTER ARCHES HER BACK AND LIFTS HER TAIL WHILE THE BOY HAMSTER CLEANS HER BOTTOM AND THEN HE STARTS GETS ON HER BACK (NOT ALL THE WAY) AND TOUCHES HIS PENIS TO HER VIGINA AND STARTS TO DO HER FOR A WHILE BOUT 15-20 MIN. THEN THEY GO BOUT THEIR WAYS! HOPE THIS HELP!

they are mammals they mate like and other mammal would and yes you can tell if they are male or female males clearly have testicles if you want to know if yours is a boy or girl & you can't tell take it to a pet store and they should tell you
