ive been reading your book
and so far i am left with many questions
#1 do you guys belive in reincarnation,or life after death, aside from fellow JWs,do you think if your not a JW you just die?
#2 why did Jehovah stop talking to us,like he did back in the begining? just because he allowed satan to do his work,is no reason that he should also abandon his people
your book talks of a'' teacher who allowed satan to show his point.''.but that teacher did not leave the room for satan to completly rule it!!
if Jehovah is not sadistic, then when the time comes ''revelation'' why is it neccesary for him to allow another 7 years of horrific suffering..havnt we the humans already sufferd enough!! seems very unneccesary&sadistic to end the world or allow satan to put a deeper impact on human sufering at its end??
and last #4 what about diseases? it states yes.that Jehovah allowed satan to cause/allow evil but isnt ''disease'' also allowing him to create..thats just not right

Hi Ariana, You may not remember me, but I answered a question for you a couple of months ago. You've come a long way from how you felt at that time. I'm so glad you're reading the book "What Does the Bible Really Teach?" Naturally, you will have questions as you are studying the Bible. Be sure to always look up the scriptures that are cited, so you can see what the Bible says about that subject.
Please disregard what "papa" said. He would never have said that if he had known you were sincerely asking these questions. There are so many on this forum who ask questions just to bash us that some JWs are too quick to assume that this is just another one of those kinds of questions.
The reason why so many are giving thumbs down on "biblioph" is because the link he put in his answer is one that twists the teachings of JWs and tries to make people think we are not teaching the truth. He may or may not be aware of that.
Now as for your questions:
1. No, we do not believe in reincarnation. The Bible teaches that billions of people, most of whom are NOT Jehovah's Witnesses, will be resurrected to life on earth. (John 5:28, 29; Acts 24:15. See also chapters 6 and 7, pages 57-69, of Bible Teach book.)
2. Jehovah has not abandoned his people. He strengthens and supports us with his holy spirit. We are well fed spiritually, and we have a loving worldwide brotherhood that transcends all racial and national boundaries. We have the complete written word of God, and he talks to us through the pages of the Bible. We look at the worsening world conditions as proof that we are close the time when Jehovah will remove wickedness. (2 Tim 3:1-5)
3. The Bible does not teach anything about "7 years of horrific suffering," so I'm not sure where you got that idea. Jesus spoke about a "great tribulation," but he didn't indicate how long it would be:
"For then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again. In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short." Matthew 24:21, 22
4. Satan does not "cause" disease. Adam and Eve were created perfect. Adam and Eve could have been alive today, but they died because they chose to disobey God and thus sinned. The reason we die is that Adam’s sinful condition as well as death was passed on to all of his descendants. (Romans 5:12) Happily, though, Jehovah has made provision for obedient mankind by means of Christ's ransom. As a result of our exercising faith in that ransom, we now have the hope of eternal life, without sickness or pain. (Revelation 21:3,4)
I hope this answers your questions. I would also encourage you, if you're not already doing so, to have your own free home Bible study with Jehovah's Witnesses. That way you can have your questions answered right from your own copy of the Bible.

Hello. Some of the teachings you are referring to are not JWs, but Christendom's.
*************************************
ive been reading your book
and so far i am left with many questions
#1 do you guys belive in reincarnation,or life after death, aside from fellow JWs,do you think if your not a JW you just die?
We do not believe in reincarnation. Nor do non JWs who die lose hope. Acts 24:15. All who do not commit unpardonable sin of knowing the truth and refusing it (Heb. 10:26) get to come back to a righteous earth where they get 100 years of perfect health and happiness to start learning. Isaiah 65:20, 33:24, Rev. 20:5). Reincarnation is a teaching of pagan oriental religions like Hindu and others, not Christian at all.
#2 why did Jehovah stop talking to us,like he did back in the begining? just because he allowed satan to do his work,is no reason that he should also abandon his people
your book talks of a'' teacher who allowed satan to show his point.''.but that teacher did not leave the room for satan to completly rule it!!
The Bible teaches that no new messages come from God until the new scrolls in the new system. Rev. 22:18, 19, Gal. 1:7-10. That is a teaching of all non-Catholic religions except Mormon and Islam.
if Jehovah is not sadistic, then when the time comes ''revelation'' why is it neccesary for him to allow another 7 years of horrific suffering..havnt we the humans already sufferd enough!! seems very unneccesary&sadistic to end the world or allow satan to put a deeper impact on human sufering at its end??
The 7 year thing is not a JW teaching, but one of Christendom's. They teach that wrongly assuming the 7 times in Rev. is only 7 years. But Daniel refers to the 7 times and Jesus also referred to the times of the Gentiles/nations which was 2520 years beginning with Daniel in 607 AD and ending in 1914 AD with the start of man's world war 1.
and last #4 what about diseases? it states yes.that Jehovah allowed satan to cause/allow evil but isnt ''disease'' also allowing him to create..thats just not right
Satan has ruled earth since Eden. Human governments and many things are his fault. Gen. 3:4, 5, 2 Cor. 4:3, 4. Most humans have demanded the right to do their own thing even if it means death including sexual immorality. That is their own fault, not Jehovah's or his son, Jesus.

I loved that book! I finished studying that book recently, but I had someone come to my house once a week for us to study that together. She was able to answer all my questions using scriptural evidence. There's only so many questions we can answer on this forum, but I will do my best. :)
Well, we don't believe in reincarnation, but chapter 7 in the book, talks about the resurrection hope we have. If you notice John 5:28,29 says that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous AND the unrighteous. The majority of mankind who have passed away will be resurrected according to the Bible. I'm sure this is something we can all look forward to.
The illustration of the teacher and student is in chapter 11. You're right, God is allowing Satan to prove his point. But, it's just proving to us that we cannot be happy without God's guidance. Is this not true? Though God does not directly talk to us today like he did back then, he is using his earthly organization to supply us with all the spiritual nourishment we need.
I'm not sure what 7 years of suffering you're talking about. Jehovah doesn't want us to suffer. On the contrary, chapter 11 talks about how he's going to undo the effects of suffering. What Jehovah's going to end is Satan's influence and suffering for good.....by means of His heavenly Kingdom.
And I don't think I completely understand question #4. Jehovah's also going to put an end to disease.

You have ask many questions, you also stated that you are reading the book. Are you having a Bible Study with one of Jehovah's witnesses?
We can give you brief answers here o YQ&A but to get good deep answers and good deep understanding it is best that you set down with someone one on one and have all of your questions answered, that way there can be time given to each question.

That's alot of in depth questions all at once. I'm glad to hear you have taken an interest to read this book...but what the next important step is, is to have a regular Bible study so that the person you are studying with can help answer these questions through the scriptures as they come up. I studied this book just last year and found it quite incredible and helpful :-)

Don not listen to Achtung. He is NOT God. He doesn't know who will survive Armageddon and who will perish. Anyone with the love of their brothers, sisters, and neighbors that did unto them for the love of God will survive. Cause they got the love that God commanded. Phooey to the ones that think they are the first.

Please, multiple questions should be asked as multiple questions. Only the first question will be addressed in this answer.
Jehovah's Witnesses believe the bible to refute reincarnation. Those who are dead really are dead, and exist nowhere but Jehovah's memory unless and until he decides to resurrect them.
Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe that one's salvation is defined strictly by whether one is or is not an adherent of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

[quote]
No. Many millions who have lived in centuries past and who were not Jehovah's Witnesses will come back in a resurrection and have an opportunity for life. Many now living may yet take a stand for truth and righteousness before God's time of judgment, and they will gain salvation. Moreover, Jesus said that we should not be judging one another. Humans look at the outward appearance; God looks at the heart. He sees accurately and judges mercifully. God has committed judgment into Jesus' hands, not ours.—Matthew 7:1-5; John 5:22, 27.

Come on, that is not what the publications leads to. Why do you tell false truths
The publication is a bible study aid and it takes one to the scriptures for the answers to the questions you are falsely stating.
Most people here can see what you are up too.
You just told on yourself. That is exactly what you are up too.
That is very sad.
Thankx, have a good one, I will now dust the dirt off my feet.
