What is the Pope or the Catholic Church doing about the serve starvation problem in Mexico ?

According the pro illegal here Mexicans are facing starvation which is why they leave Mexico because the family is straving. Isn't this area included in the better life package? But I never hear about any starvation expect from these bleeding hearts who like to enhance their story.As much money as the Catholic Church has spent on sex scandals they could of fed the entire country for decades instead they used all that money for decadent living doing just the opposite of what they were suppose to do.

Why do you expect the Pope, the Catholic Church or any other religious institution outside of Mexico to solve a Mexican problem?

The history of Mexico and the Roman Church [RCC] is NOT a pretty one with Evil done by and to both parties. But are not the duties of a central government to maintain the welfare of its people?

Is the answer that you are expecting the RCC to buy trucks and ship the hungry, homeless, ill education Mexicans to the US as it seems or is the policy of the true government of Mexico?

Mexico is NOT a poor country? It has a $1.15 x10**12 GDP!
It has foreign/gold reserves of $76 x 10**9. Some $20x 10**9 come from the illegals in the US each year.

To answer your question directly: I hope that the Hope and Holy See do exactly what they should do in such a crisis: Pray and call on world opinion to get Mexico to resolve its own internal issues.

Nothing beyond encouraging those people to come to the United States. They are brighter than that and there are civil disorders that are very sever for brief periods of time.. and then fade away.

Absolutely nothing.The Catholic church has enough gold to feed Mexico and a couple of other 3rd world countries.The only thing they do is promote procreation thus making the problem worse.The Mexican government should help instead of "passing the buck" like they've been doing for the last 30+ years.

Which is closer to the United States of Mexico? Is it the Government itself or is it the Catholic Church. The United Nations and its co-organizations should be doing this not the Catholic Church. Pope Benedict XVI and his church only bless and pray for those who live in poverty. The Mexican President and the UNICEF should do something about this.

they are poor but not starving that I have heard of.they do have a welfare type program in Mexico but it helps only once a year and only a little bit.But with the new taxes Sr. Calderon is enforcing they will implement a better system.
