I feel so lost for some reason, I don't seem to fit with any religion, including atheist, and I can't seem to find my place. Yes I may only be 13 but it still feels like I should be doing something other than playing video games, messing on the internet, and doing school work. Any suggestions?

Volunteer. It's the best way to do something useful, expand your horizons, learn, and feel good about yourself.

I agree with others. Find a loving , accepting church. If you have an acquittance/friend that seems to have their act together, find out what church they go to and ask if you can tag along. When I was in high school I had a friend that called me up one morning and asked if they could go to church with me. We ended up going to a different church every Sunday together just to check things out and afterwards we'd spend time together. These are some of the best memories I have. I run an intercity youth group now and these kids are hardcore and kinda rough, but they've formed a surrogate family of kids that meet every sunday night and just hang out and we talk about the important things in life and help each other. It's odd to see how non-religious these kids are but how they show true faith and belief, especially in each other. From all of your posts, you would fit in well there, I've had several ex-wiccan and atheist kids. You are welcomed to email me.

A good question to ask yourself would be, "What are my beliefs". If you believe that there is a spiritual side of yourself that is not being met, figure out what you actually believe, and get involved with that group. There is a place that everybody fits into. You just have to find it.

You are at an age where you are seeking to find your place in the world. Follow your head and heart and don't believe the first thing anyone tells you. You are easily indoctrinated at your age. Logic and thought are the keys to knowledge.

God is seeking you out- that's why- find him. You may be a spiritualist- look to Arch Angels for help- Pray for Michael to come give you some kind of enlightenment.... I remember I was sooo Lost at that age. Just because I wasn't sure what i believed. I have since then found my path- thru Reiki Healing and Jesus and the Angels.

Love light and blessings- Jess

read about all of them. sometimes life experience decides for us. if u feel empty, maybe you would find meaning in volunteering or something like that. don't pressure yourself. you don't ever have to decide that you fit in with a particular group. maybe you were made to break the mold. good luck sweetie!

Learn what you can about each religion. You might find that you can take a piece of each and use it for your life right now. When you get older, you can then see which one fits your life.

Maybe you're agnostic. They don't believe God exists, but they don't believe he doesn't. Agnostics understand that it's impossible to know whether any deity exists. Anyway, try spending more time with friends. If that doesn't work, just try to make your life busy. Exercise, join a bunch of clubs, read a book. Actually, I'd suggest the last one. If you read books with messages and really get into them, you'll feel better about life (probably). You may be having an identity/existential crisis. If it's an identity crisis, try spending time with your friends, and find a role model. (Mine was my best friend Kristen-I based my sense of humor around hers and modified it-I created a personality.) If it's an existential crisis, I still recommend spending time with friends and letting yourself make small goals (losing 5 pounds, getting a better mile time, getting a better grade, etc.)

Maybe find a community service group you can help with greening projects. Usually you meet many nice people who have different interests and you'll find yourself attracted to more topics.

But, don't rush things.
