I am going to a New Year's Eve party, which is being hosted by a guy and woman who are living together...but they are not really a "couple" in my estimation. He doesn't seem to be interested in her and I think they might be living together for convenience sake. I have been lusting after him for a long time now and he seems to have some interest in me. Be my crystal ball and give me your prediction as to whether they will stay together in the new year, or will he move out and ask me out.

I agree with the first answer. Ask if they are a couple or not. If they are a couple, think about that. Here he is in a relationship he really doesn't want. But I understand that sometimes things just aren't as they seem.
So once you find out his status figure out if you want to pursue it. Just be sure not to bad mouth either one of them at the party. Word spreads quickly and you don't want that reputation.
So if he's a relationship with her why hasn't he left yet if he's not happy? That is a very legitimate question to ask him. I personally can't think of one answer that would be okay to accept as an actual reason why they still live together.
I'm just curious though, even friends should be at least a tad bit enthusiastic about each other. The whole thing is weird so just be careful!!

I agree, i could elect Edward, yet... Bella had certainly one of those stressful time while Edward left, Jacob replaced into like her"savior" (for loss of greater acceptable observe). It depends on what he likes more: you or "for convenience sake". If he is very attached to being comfortable, he will not venture out much. Oh, don't get me wrong, he'll probably have a go at you if you give him half a chance, but he'll definitely go back to the comfortable cushions of home life. On the other hand, if it's true that they are not really a couple, he is kind of up for grabs and if you are "lucky", he'll step over from her home to yours.

I don't know about predictions. If they're roommates then maybe he won't move out. Like maybe they aren't an item at all? In that case you could date him if you wanted (although I don't know how comfortable I would be with my guy having a female roommate). If there is something going on then I would avoid dating until he sorts things out. If you push him to move out or break up with her then you'd be the "other woman" and that isn't exactly a good position either. Just get to know him better, see if you can subtly find out more about his situation, and play it cool.

dont judge a couples happiness by going by what you see on the outside. you have no clue how things are going in the relationship. and the fact that he is showin interest in you really just means he is a jerk. he probably just wants in your pants and that is all. if he is lookin at other girls and visibly showing interest while he is with this girl why would you wanna get with him anyway. guys dont cheat because they arent happy they cheat cause they think they can get away with it. i know plenty of men living the american dream with a great wife and a seemingly perfect marriage and they still cheated and flirted with other girls. watch yourself i dont think he is leaving her.
