I don't know which brand of shot you are drinking, but the main thing to look at is caffeine per serving, and sugar per serving.

Different people's body handles stuff different. I don't know what your long term looks like, but if you have built up to that amount a day, then your body has probably adjusted to the effect.

I have my own particular favorite that I drink two at a time. It says 80 mgs of caffeine, 120 mg guarana, 500 mg of taurine, 50mg kola nut extract. i gram sugar, and 9 calories.

To me this says that it has regular caffeine, and caffeine from the kola nut. I think guarana is a kind of caffeine also. I am just guessing, I really don't care. I just don't want to drink anymore coffee and tea, because I don't want my teeth to get any darker!

the taste is o.k., but i add lemon juice to it. I also add this to water. I have a sugar addiction, and don't particularly like the taste of anything that is not sweet. I hate those diet sweeteners.

I have been having the toughest time finding an energy drink I can drink. believe it or not, most of them are too sickly sweet for me!

I don't think any, unless you have allergies to caffeine. They are mostly caffeine, and I believe one drink is equivalent to 2 cups of coffee for caffeine content. There is a lot of sugar too. Happy flying!

Drinking them too much can cause some serious heart problems. I've seen people pass out, throw up, and have heard of people getting heart attacks, even younger people.
