Russian Orthodox 15-20%, Muslim 10-15%, other Christian 2%

The Russian Orthodoxy is the dominant Christian religion in the Federation. Islam is the second most widespread religion. Other religions include various Protestant churches, Judaism, Roman Catholicism and Buddhism.

Atheism isn't a religion, but yes it is widespread.
However some want to enjoy religious freedom, even if they aren't particular religious.

FLY, Communism is a political ideology pie in the sky utopia.
And uh, the USSR never actually had it nor is it a religion.

The major religions of Russia are:
Christianity and Islam.

The other major belief are Communists.

Interestingly, 75% of Russia is in Asia continent and yet it is
referred always under Europe......what a stupidity?
I think the westerners have forgotten their geography.....
Never mind, they have never learnt the geography of world.

Once a famous US Ambassador said this:
"90% of Americans do not know the world. They only know
that there is Canada to the North(some even say it is one of
the 50 states), Mexico is in the South....and then on either
side we have oceans and it is hard to see the other side having a large oceans.

A chart on Religion in Russia in Time magazine for May 27, 1996 shows Russian Orthodox as 71.8% of the population in Russia, Muslim 5.5%, Catholic 1.8%, Protestant 0.7%, Buddhist 0.6%, Jewish 0.3%, Other 0.9%; no affiliation 18.9%.
