they know that i was doing it with my friends and they also somehow know that it was my friends brother who bought it for us
my parents are saying that theyre going to talk to my friends parents but if they do my friends will be in even bigger trouble than i am in

Tell them you are sorry - and mean it.
You should not be drinking if you are underage - and I hope you are definitely not driving while you're drinking.
This happened with my son - he let me borrow his car one day while mine was in the shop - and I kept hearing a klinking sound in his trunk. I found a cooler with open alcohol. I contacted parents of all of his friends as he told me they all pitched in to buy it. I was furious for many reasons as you can imagine (plus if I had been stopped while driving the car - I would have been in trouble.) All of the kids had consequences to deal with - and you know what - it didn't matter - they kept partying.
You know what finally stopped my son - he got a DUI.
That's a real horrible life-changing incident. Don't let it get that far - go to your parents - be sorry - and do something else for fun. Wait until you're 21 - and then drink responsibly.

if your friends brother bought alcohol for underage kids then his parents should know. i know it sucks but having his parents find out is way better than having him get caught by the cops and arrested.

Well, it was your friends fault in the first place...
And i'm guessing you're underage so there has to be some type of punishment involved for the both of you...
There's nothing you can do. It was wrong apparantly

suck it up. you have to pay for your actions and so do they. NOT letting your parents talking to them would make you a bad friend and they will thank you later.
a similar situation. only it was my friends brother at a party tempting us younger girls, and i didnt drink. i felt so much better when my mom talked my brothers mom. it will help later in life.

If you're mature enough to drink, you're mature enough to take it like a man and do what's right.
