what could the problem be and how much would it cost to fix

OH JOY! You dropped it, or you put your shoulder into it or you threw a ball at it.....

Or your dog sat on the LCD panel.....

.....You might as well buy another one, because the panel will cost MORE than the TV set itself.....

A $1500 TV set will have a $2000 panel in it....
You pay MORE for a separate part than a whole TV set....

The screen appears to be cracked in some way, influencing the LCD paneling itself within the set. LCD repair costs are very expensive starting at around $200/hour and that just for labor. Including parts, you could be looking at over a grand. It might be better just investing in a new TV altogether. :-\

I think the fravis is disconnected from the dingis. Also, the thingamajiggie might need to be slightly adjusted to either the right or the left about 37 degrees. Any reputable TV repair dude should be able to do this for no more than $475. Good luck!
