Do some research on that particular sin on the church's website. Look at general conference articles. It sounds to me like you know it is a sin, but you don't understand why. Sometimes, it's difficult to truly repent if we don't understand why what we did is wrong.
Good luck.

Look at it this way -
You can recognize that perhaps this thing is Not A Good Thing and stop your behavior without feeling bad about it.
The important thing is to remember that repentance is about obedience. Some would even argue that if you obey, and repent, then those feelings of "badness" towards the sin will come along in time.
(I hope that made sense, I was having a hard time figuring out how to phrase it....)

Sometimes, although we know something is wrong, we rationalize it -- which is a weapon of rebellion against God. You're doing the right thing by ceasing -- now, seek to grow closer to your Savior. I would also recommend The Miracle of Forgiveness by Spencer W Kimball - it has helped many people have a greater understanding and humility. Spend time on your knees, asking for greater understaning from your Heavenly Father -- and search the scriptures and recent Conference talks. As you do so with a desire to understand and grow closer to God, you will receive wisdom through inspiration.
Best wishes

If you cannot experience humility and sorrow over the sin committed then repentance is not possible. It's not an issue with someone else making you feel bad; it's the notion that you know you've done wrong and must do something to rectify it.

Dear God, I am really sorry about this sin even if I don't feel like it because I dread the loss-of Heaven and the pains of Hell. Most of all, I am sorry because I have offended you who art all good and deserving of all my move, Without your help, I cannot become a better person. Lord, increase my faith. Show me the error of my ways.

addicts experience this, their is no guilt for their sin because they are way past feeling guilty, that does not mean their is no help for you, you just have to try extra hard not to do the sin. It has become a stronghold in your life and you may have to find a person who is freed form the sin in order to overcome it yourself, its called an accountablity partner.

Dont look to emotional feelings of feeling bad.Guilt feelings or ideas are simply the effect of pain caused by wrongdoing and sin like a finger burn while cooking lets you know an injury occured giving the message to be more careful or the burn may get worse. Pope Benedict said, Conversion means transformation into a higher better way of being.
Because I follow Jesus who is the truth I must let you know that while I lived in Salt Lake City doing a little research in the University of Utah, Jesus spoke to me saying Moroni is the name of a demon. That is why the angel giving the Book of Mormon lied about the nature of God the Father having a human body and that we pre-existed with God. The demons did before the fall of satan but not us. May the eternal curse of God be upon Moroni. See? I can do that and God still does miracles for me and through me. But not always; only every two or three weeks.
So dont look for bad feelings to help you repent. Use your reasoning to agree with God's will about that matter as revealed in the Gospels. God and Jesus are not so irresponsible and careless as to not think of preserving their revelations in the Bible from error. That's why Jesus organized his Catholic Church through his apostles enabling it to keep his word free from translation errors such as that lying angel and the angel dictating the Quran claim happened, to legitimize their own lies attacking God's revealed truth. The Lord's love and mercy are greater than your sin and weakness so come to him with it asking for his help in getting free from attachment to those affections of your heart and mind. Ask him to make you come into the truth as he wants you to be.

You need to ask the Holy Spirit to convict you so that you can feel bad and repent.

Ask God for help. If you are sincere in your plea then you will receive the help you need no matter who you are or what you have done.

Humans have a natural and inborn conscience. Chances are, if you don't feel bad about something that means it wasn't wrong...
