that the Republican Christians would all label him a bleeding hard liberal. Jesus advocated peace, he opposed the death penalty, he believed in giving to the needy, you know, all the things American Republican Christians hate about the Democrats.

Firstly, when he comes back I hope I'm not in the process of committing a sin for that would just be embarrassing. I hope I'm reading the Bible. I already know I'm saved so I know that there will be no condemnation. But if this question is asking what political party I would want to be associated with when he returns, I guess I would have to say the political party that I now think is best. American Independent, Moderate, Green Peace, Peace and Freedom and most Importantly the Bible living Christian party. If I could wrap all of these parties together and add the Love of Christ to them all, then that's the party that I would like to be affiliated with. Although I see one problem with this ever happening, it's called humanity.

That wouldn't be the Jesus I know. The Jesus I know is one that in The Gospels tore down a building because it was being profaned and stated he was there to tear families apart putting father against son. I think as Christians we tend to be a little to liberal with our views of Jesus. He is not so much the prince of peace as the is the saviour of this world. Yes he did believe in giving to the needy but even Jesus said that some wars were necessary. Yes he did condemn the stoning of people by those who were tyranical in their approach to power, but at the center of his message is not inactivity towards others who do wrong Jesus wanted people to approach others we see who do wrong and help them. Then the whole death penalty thing is summed up by this, over time our english language has become watered down and certain words become one in meaning and idea when in their entoymolgy they were different in philosophiical respects. The Old Testament had some of the prophets killing people (not murdering people, killing people) for the greater good to make progress or for God to take his stand. Our society has evil people who do not repent and never will, and have nothing to contribute rotting in jail to society and they should be executed. And in a Christian theology there is nothing wrong with that. It might be a hard truth to accept. Now that does not mean that every murderer should be put to death. Some are capable of repentance, which is why our courts are there to decide such things. As for what I'd want to be when Jesus comes back, is simply justified in his eyes. Not justified by my own conscience for as Corithians 4:4 states "my conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent, It is the Lord who judges me."

You not only misunderstand American Republican Christians you also do not understand Jesus Christ. As for Christ advocating peace, He said in Matthew 10:34 "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword". And when He comes again it will not be a peaceful situation. As for the death penalty, Christ fully agreed with the law and the Bible. And the Bible clearly calls for the death penalty as far back as Noah's ark. He did believe in giving to the poor. But that is different than giving to people who refuse to work. The Bible also says that if a man does not work let him not eat. So I think you need to get your facts straight.

when Jesus returns He is returning to the valley of Armageddon at this point all his children (saints, the saved...) will be with him in the sky. The earth will be destroyed and He will make a new Earth and that is when there will be peace.

I would really like to see where you get that idea. Jesus was no Robin Hood. (whom I also dislike) Jesus wasn't against the death penalty. Jesus didn't kill babies. Jesus didn't try to steal guns from anyone.

You people think you know so much about Christianity, and use it to condemn the conservatives, while you are the ones going against it.

I am not even able to comprehend this rant... re-write it.

and I think the word you are looking for is 'bleeding HEART liberal' I just love when the ignorant come to roost. How's about when that there Bill Clinton (liberal guy) asked Jesse Jackson (religious freak) to help him cleanse his soul of sin and then carried a bible around for a year.. does hypocrisy make your migraines worse too?
