Religion is the problem not the solution. Religion does not have answers, it has doctrine and dogma. Spiritual answers come through self realization and humility.

Well, I don't know. I would think that the Christians being fed to the lions thought that was the worst crisis...I tend to agree with them.
I don't think I would call this a crisis of Christianity but rather a huge opportunity for more Christians (and non-Christians) to learn that Christianity isn't a religion! You're absolutely right that religion can't answer a growing number of questions...but Christianity can and does answer those questions. The crisis could be that so few churches are equipped to point people in the right direction.
Whatever the question, God knows the answer. Through Christ, he gave us the opportunity to take our questions to him and receive the answers we seek. Through Christ, those answers don't come from other people or from rules or laws, they come from within us...from our own heart, mind, soul, and body. The trick is learning to listen to and accept the answer!

I would not say that it's a crisis, but I agree with those who have said that there are some of us Christians who are very confused about what happens around us. Yes, the Bible is our roadmap; God does most of his speaking through the written word. Sometimes it is hard to reconcile your faith and reconcile God's promises with the things you go through here in life and that makes it difficult when your mind is rational. That is why we have to believe with our hearts. No one said it was easy, and I'm a true witness that easy is nowhere in Christianity!
And religion ... that's man made, which is why religion, in and of itself, is inadequate for the making of a steadfast believer. Someone said that churches are not equipped to handle people's fears/doubts/problems, and I can also witness that this is true. Pastors and leaders must, they MUST get better at this.

Christianity has had many crisis-es in it's history. I agree with your premise though, this may be the most difficult yet.
I think it's been brought on by more critical thought. If Christianity is to survive, it has to become what it was originally was intended to be, and not a political arm of the Republican party talking about homosexuality.

Christianity never goes through a real crisis. The Church leaders always re-interpret the bible to say exactly what the people want to hear. Only the tithe laws remain unchanged.

Christinity IS going through a crisis. Christians are going through awakenings. The world improves a little each time.
Yays for critical thinking.

Christianity is not rational. It is spiritual. If anyone is looking for the rationality of the God being born of a woman to take on all the sins of mankind in order to open the gates of Heaven . . .
Do you see anything rational year?
I have the gift of Faith. I believe all of it and more.
Where are you coming from? What parallel universe?

Could be, due to overwhelming info available today. But, through crisis comes growth. Crisis can be very good to help any organization confront it's difficulties and work through them, finding solutions that work for most if not all.

I wouldn't call it a Crisis, but it's getting tested. You think it's bad now, you should try to imagine what is was like those who wanted to be like Christ during the time he walked the earth and immediately after his death. That was a crisis. This... is expected.

I don't see a crisis like this in my area or online. What I have seen in the last few years is more people asking more intelligent questions about faith. And that's a good thing!
The answers they are getting must be okay because our churches are full of joyous believers...more every day. Blessings!
