Hey...thanks for your answers...i would choose the "red knigh..." guys answer as the best, but for some reason my computer won't let me...and as for the cody guy...faith is everything...and it is most definately not about fearing the torment of hell...its about a walk with God on earth and into eternity

There is no "Biblical" view of masturbation, but there are many Christian views of it. The wisest I've heard is from a Catholic priest, who told me that while masturbation is not a sin, the Church discourages it because it is an immature act. It may be "natural" for people entering puberty, but in adulthood sex is supposed to be in communion with one's spouse, whereas masturbation tends to be an isolating activity. 1 Cor 13 says "When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me."

Faith is NOT everything. There is more to life than always watching what you say and do and fearing eternal torment if you do not follow someone's rules to the letter.
I say do what you want. Life should be pleasurable for you. There's no good reason why you shouldn't masturbate; it's completely natural.

Me being a Christian male, I know that the Christians believe it is definately immoral, and wrong. Did I do it? Yes. Why. Because I am human. The spirit is willing, the flesh is weak.

First off I have to say that to ask that you will get a wide range of answers from 'christians' on this. My stance is that it is wrong as it is hard to masturbate without invoking lustful thoughts, and Christ himself said if you look at a woman with lust in your eye you are an adulterer. However there is nothing in scripture that sppecifically prohibits it.

I don't think there is a blanket "Christian" view on the subject.
I personally don't think it will corrupt you as long as you don't get addicted to it. All things in moderation right?
But some people think that it will ruin your relations with your husband/wife because it creates unatainable expectations. (which I don't understand because masturbation is no where close to being in the same realm as marital sex :-))
Follow your own convictions and let other's follow theirs.

Nothing wrong with it. It can only be wrong if you are habitual substituting masturbation with that with real love with another person. You don't want to fall into that narcissists syndrome.
By the way, stereotype of masturbating isn't just religious in base. Some psychologist believed that it caused mental illness.

Well, I don't think it's wrong, although many other Christians think it's wrong.
However, it depends on what you are thinking about when you are masturbating. Does it lead you to think of something that is not right in God's eyes? If so, then it would be wrong.

As I do not recall anything in the Bible that specifically addresses this issue, I will have to go with my gut feelings about it. God gave us our bodies and gave us desire for sexual gratification. However, He also specified how and when we were to experience that gratification. After marriage and with our spouse. I have to assume that self gratification was not in his plan for us. It would lessen the meaning of true gratification and would take away one of the most important parts of marriage.....i.e. having an experience that should ideally be found with ones spouse.

It is a natural thing and I believe there is no religious aspects
to this other than to be getting cleaned yourself by taking a
bath.

It's something people do, but it's not particularly a dinner table conversation piece. Other than that I don't see the problem.
