I enjoy the summer. Is it really something to get upset about?

Enjoy it while you can.

If past history is any indicator, we'll be going back into another cooling period in 10 or 20 years.

It isn't happening. It is getting colder though. What about the freeze last year or so when all the crops in California died? What's that...global warming? Hardly! What about all the people who died in Peru cause of the cold? There are a few others but I would have to look them up.

. A 'Big Deal'? Not for us until the next generation.
Then the ocean levels start rising, droughts and hurricanes start displacing 1 Billion who are now in the best places, new bugs start developing and old plants start dying.
This planet barely has room for 6 billion people. What's gonna happen when that capacity goes down to 3 B ? Wars and famine. Enjoy what you got, now.

If the issue is so serious, then why did thousands of 'man-did-it' global warming advocates jet to Bali resort locations to discuss how the rest of us should be more responsible in our use of energy. If they want to meet.....do so by video-conference.....it's much cleaner than spewing thousands of tons of pollutants via jet-plane exhaust into the air. Those folks lost a lot of credibility with that vacation....uh....I mean conference location!!!

global warming is carbon dioxide(CO2) being released into the air, and getting trapped in the ozone(O3) layer of the earth, this is called the greenhouse effect, and it is supposedly warming the earth by a few degrees. the concern would be that the ice would melt, causing the ocean depth to increase and then flooding land. its really not something to be that worried about, even though its proven, it has also been proven false so don't worry about it, but you still should recycle and be aware of enviromentaly friendly things.

Global warming can negatively effect agriculture, ecosystems, and human health. The warmer climate can limit the range of life for some animals (like, say, polar bears) while increasing that of some bothersome/destructive ones (such as mosquitos and agricultural pests). It can alter growing seasons and have negative effects on the health of certain organisms that normally cannot put up with such temperatures.

It's going to make water temperatures rise and we will all drown or flee as refugees to other parts of the world and recourse's will become scarce .
Our population won
at help at all either.
Animals will start to die from the drastic changes and species will go extict, think the ecosystems will end and life as we know it on earth will be burnt to crisp.
What a great generation to be born into.

Um..no, considering it has nothing to do with summer. We have invented all these cool things, and ways to make our lives easier. Well now it is taking a toll on our environment. So now everyone is up in arms going bonkers because we are destroying our planet. Of course no one things about the spill over affect before we go about doing things.
