I suppose if you are superstitious, you could link any good events in 2008 to your twelve grapes and say it was good luck.
Otherwise, I would think that your course of events during the next year would be hardly dependent on whether or not you ate grapes on New Years Eve.
In any case, best of wishes to you in the new year, and I'd say to eat the grapes anyway just because they're good.

I had never heard of that one till a couple years ago. I always practice the U.S. tradition to kiss the one you love and you'll be with them all year long. But I might do the 12 grapes, I'm usually invited to my friends house and they do that. They are from Honduras.

Yeah And each grape represents every month so if you get a sour one that month is going to be a little difficult for you. And you can also wish something with everyone of them.
