It depends on your MOS, how many years you sign up for, and if you have a GED your score on the aims test, what season you leave for, etc.

Bonuses are handed out based on what the military needs. They might give you a bonus if you decide to enlist for a longer term instead of a shorter one.
They might also give you one if you pick an MOS that they need filling, or if you agree to be stationed at a place that needs more troops.

score good on the asvab. take a long term course with a job that they desperately need. for instance join the army and become an infantrymen. i only got $15,000 bonus that i never saw. but that was around 9/11 so everyone was taking that job right now not that many people want to join

Pick a critical demand MOS, have 60+ college hours, agree to be a quick ship, lots of different ways.

mos, years of enlistment, and anything that may pertain to either your qualifications, job choice or commitment can affect your bonus.

If you do get the bonus, MAKE SURE NOT to get WOUNDED and SENT HOME or you'll have to PAY IT BACK.
