Today I could only do 15 straight but a few days ago I could do 31. Yeah I know it isnt a lot but to me it is since I could only do 3 when I started a few months ago and I weigh 255 pounds

It happens to the best of us from time to time. Often times it's due to what you've eaten recently or how fatigued you are at that time.

I would always suggest you do your exercises at the same time every day. Hopefully your energy levels are the same and you haven't eaten anything too different during that time.

well that happens. sometimes I go to the gym and I can bench a certain amount of reps and weight and others I struggle. You have your GOOD days and BAD...Also maybe your muscles are tired. Remember it is a slow process, your doing fine as long as your not goign backwards....lol

yea it happens to me to wen doing pushups, or lifting weights.
