Why is there food which we can only eat after it has been cooked, for example meat which may contain parasites or cannot be digested raw without making us ill or plants which are not platable or digestible raw? Examples: eggs, potatoes, swedes, nettles.
Someone else asked and it got deleted so I thought I'd try and ask it again.

I think that the fact that rednecks exist rules out the theory of intelligent design.

check out how much food is being used. The food is not that expensive and if she is a good cook leave it be or do you really want to test another ? It's the wages paid to prepare the food and dish it out that usually is the biggest expense. Have smaller serves as this is healthier. Ask her advice if too much food is being used. Get her to cook more vegetables especially those in season. There are lots of polite options so just try harder. In the end you may just have to except the extra cost. Just remember that she is a good cook and these are hard to find so good luck !

Answer: We don't.

Meat can contain parasites, etc and it is for safety reasons that we cook our food. However, FRESH raw meat (I.E, just killed and being ripped off the bone, etc.) is safe enough to eat, even if not very pleasant, because it hasn't been sitting out long enough for parasites or anything else to get into it.

Eggs can be digested raw, it is again unpleasant to do so. Potatoes are a root *we* made into food, and we did that by altering it by cooking it.

Cooking our food especially meat was taught to us by the God Yahweh who created our digestive system different from all other wild animals on Earth. It is part of Yahweh's disease prevention plan that is part of The Laws of Moses to help humans live a longer disease free life while on Earth. This cooking instruction is what He means when we build an altar, put wood on it, light the wood on fire, put the raw meat on the metal grate which is supported by the four horns built as part of the altar above the fire and cook the blood and fat out of the "clean" only meat creating a pleasing aroma to the Lord. You can thank Yahweh for teaching us how to barbecue.

While I by no means am a supporter of the intelligent design idea, I have to point out that this is not a good argument against it. Very few things HAVE to be cooked before eating, they just taste better that way, so we cook them.

im not an expert but as a believer the answer is simple in the garden God didnt tell adam and eve to eat meat he gave them fruits from trees and we can still eat them today with out cooking. Also it think that God provided plants and animals a way to protect themselves from us not that its really working anyways.
well if thats not a good enough answer go ask the intelligent designer he makes himself readily accessible :D. Good Luck

Because sin entered the world and messed up God's Perfect Plan for our lives. In God's original Perfect World, Man's diet would have consisted of nothing except fruits, grains, and nuts (Gen. 1:29) -- no vegetables and no animal flesh. Vegetables were only supposed to be eaten by the animal kingdom (Gen. 1:30). As part of the curse of sin, vegetables were added to man's diet (Gen. 3:18). Then, animal flesh was added to man's diet after the Great Flood (Gen. 9:1-4) -- in order to shorten the lives of men and to diminish their brain capacity so that they could not so easily become so wicked again.

God bless.

You most certainly do not have to eat any of those foods. So, nosh on a raw carrot. Grow your own lettuce and tomatoes. Who says you have to eat raw beef? Or any cooked beef? What in the world does your question have to do with intelligence when it comes to eating? And raw potatoes will not hurt you.

Well PETA doesn't consider any product that comes from animals to be food. That solves your problem. You don't have to cook a cracker to an apple before you eat it.

Maybe the radical leftists at PETA and the religious right can get together for some Biblical enlightenment.

sin. Adam and Eve didn't have to cook their food prior to sin coming into the world. Sin has spoiled God's creation.

Christ is the remedy for sin. Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the scriptures." (1 Corinthians 15:3,4)

There is a day when all of creation will be reconciled to Him. Even the lamb and the lion will lie down together in perfect peace.
