I got to send a money order and I'm trying to make sure they are the same thing.

PRC is China. The Republic of China is Taiwan. In doubt, wire the money to my swiss bank account and I'll take care of everything....Trust me, I'm a top contributor... ;)

People's Republic Of China is the official name of China. So the answer to your question is yes, both are same country.

Republic of China is the official name of Taiwan.

Republic of China is Taiwan, that's how they call themself.
People's Republic of China is the big China.

They are supposed to be one, but Taiwan is trying to become a country. ANyway, Taiwan the country does not exist officially, so their is only one China.

yes they are one and the same. i believe it is the chinese government that has labeled it the peoples republic to give the country more credibility on the world political stage.
