Bring the chicken to a boil, then turn the heat down to a simmer until the chicken is no longer pink in the thickest parts of the meat. Flavor with an onion cut in wedges, a stalk or two of celery, smashed garlic clove, peppercorns, and a few pepper flakes. I always add a couple of whole cloves, when boiling a chicken. Be careful not to overcook, or the meat will end up dry and grainy textured. When the chicken is done, pour the whole works into a collander with another pan underneath. Use the chicken for whatever, discard the veggies, and the broth is good to go for another use. You can even pour the broth into plastic freezer bags (put the bag in a bowl, hold open, and pour cooled broth), and freeze for several months. Good Luck!

Um...put it in a deep pan, cover with water, then bring to a boil. Simmer 30 minutes, and even bone-in pieces will be fully cooked.

Just put it in a pan full of water add salt and pepper to taste just wait until you no longer see pink. You should put the stove on medium..
You could also put barbecue sauce on it and put it in the oven for about 10 minutes. (when you only see a little pink thats when you take them off to put barbecue sauce on it.)You leave it in the oven until no longer pink.
