Good news for you... The 2005 and newer Ford Focus has the 2.0 Duratec (Mazda Designed) 4 cyl engine. It has a timing chain instead of a rubber belt.. If you change your oil and filter every 5000 miles and if is an automatic transmission, have it flushed about every 30,000 miles. I believe that is the model that has a lifetime air filter under the front left wheel cover. It should last you a long trouble free time.. PS they handle great and get good mileage. Enjoy your good purchase.

Your dealer will tell you better than anyone else. Just change the oil every 5K or so miles, change your air filter about every 20K, best bet, just have the dealer check it out for ya every other oil change, they'll inspect it and tell ya if it needs anything. Or go to ford's website, I'm certain you can download a manual or at the very least view the scheduled maintenance there.
