YES! Separate them!
And please go and do some research on breeding and whelping, since you obviously don't know anywhere near enough if you need to ask this question.

I will tell you what I did then you can make up your own mind. I never allowed my males near my pregnant dams. I never allowed my males or any other females near my whelp dams or after the pups were born either. Male have been know to kill the pups no matter what their relationship was before she was pregnant. They have been know to stress out he females too the point where she may kill her own pups or refuse to nurse them.
My advice to you is to keep him away from her and the pups for the entire time she is whelping and after she has the pups! It sounds like she doesn't want him near her know and I cant imagine what she will do to protect her pups from him!

Seperate them. Do some research pregnant dogs and breeding, DON"T USE A COMPUTER, you neer know what is right or wrong. You can find them in a 15$ book, look in the local library.

if ur so scared, then do the obvious and separate them two,
he could most definitiely harm her and the puppies, and if he's getting aggressive, i'd also keep him separate from the pups as well until ur comfortable and can control the situation and he's also calm and relaxed

I would keep the male dog away from her until the puppies are at least 4-5 weeks old. I'd keep him away from the puppies until they are 6 weeks old. But that is my opinion.

For the most part, the father's aren't any threat to the mama and the puppies.
*******BUT*******
If they aren't handling it, seperate them.
Drama isn't going to help anyone at this point and every situation is different.
Chances are, she's going to have them soon, and he senses the changes in her body. He may settle down after the babies are born.
