Try the taking a herbal called St. Johns Wart. Also, try talking to someone about. Surround yourself with people that you love and forget about the people whom you dislike.

Lately my friend has been really depressed and its really bothering me. I dont think theres really a " cure ". The only way you can cure your depression is by convincing yourself that its not worth it to be so sad. What exactly is bothering you. Email me at charmed595@aol. I know how it feels to be depressed my dad left when I was little and he'd keep on popping back up to " visit " and then once i'd start to like seeing him he'd go away again. I was one depressed little 5 year old........Just remember that you have to have faith. I just try to look at the good things in life as well as the bad. You cant pretend there arent sad things in the world but you cant pretend there arent any good things either. They're out there. You just have to go looking.

There is no single cure for depression - it is different for everyone affected by it. Some have physical symptoms, emotional symptoms, as well as underlying causes that may not seem so obvious. Consult your physican or a psychiatrist; there are ways other than drugs to ease the pain of depression.

I truly hope you are able to find the help you need to cure your depression.

Talking out your problems with a doctor might help you get directed to a specialist, Prozac? Treat yourself to an expensive gift that will keep you direct your mental thoughts away from your life and towards the gift. Maybe like an ipod or a new tv or just visit Hobby Lobby and you can find tons of projects you can work on like airplanes that will help you feel constructive. Hope I helped

depression can be chemical based in which case medication wil work. I may take a few attemps at different medication to find the right one. This can be frustrating as each medication can take a month to work. When you find the right medication it will feel like a cloud has lifted. I had to try 3 different drugs before i got the right one... but now i have and i feel my life has changed. Keep going and you will get there, dont give up on your self.

I agree with Scott B and also with CharmedO. Also remember this is a VERY personal state of mind.I wouldn't go out and tell the neighborhood or anything. It could come back on you--there's always someone out there ready to pounce on your sad feelings--take this from one who knows.
Positive thoughts of ANY knid seem to help--even if it's talking to your pets.Personally I am not real religious, but it did help me to pick up the Bible now and then and have a chat with God to ask him why he was putting me to this test.I did not get answers right away, however, after time, everything seemed to make sense.I wish you well.Remember, too, that there are plenty of people that love you weather you think so or not..... butterflydsc

I suffer from manic depression(i.e. bipolar disorder). It is hard to live with.. but medication does help. but before it helps, it gets worse. It may take a few weeks with them before you start to "feel" better.
I have known about mine for 10 years, so idk how long you have known about yours, but I promise it becomes easier to deal with.
And once they find the "right" medication for you, it will help.
Also, try to find a close friend that you can talk to, about anything. It is easier if you have someone other than a counselor that you can confide in.
Hope this helps you. I wish you the best of luck!

While there is no cure, there are many different medications which can CONTROL it. I would suggest that you keep trying until you find something that works for you. Therapy can also help. Good luck to you.

Don't just take one medicine's results as how all medicine will work. I had to go through several medications before I found something that would work.

First you need to seek a board certified physician., that specialize in that field. After you have done that seek out to different organizations that allow for you to express yourself like talking openly with others. Good luck and may god bless you.
