Usually a "eating disorder", is when food is substitute for some need which is being suppressed.
The fear that you may develop this behavior in your case may be a indication that you fear becoming obese. That certainly is not a bad thing.
Would suggest you determine what is missing in your life an find a way to fill that void.
I do realize this is all conjecture on my part, but it is my best thinking. Not really enough information.

I'm not gonna say it's crazy because alot of people who have eating disorders begin by being curious and thinking they are glamourful and a load of fun. An eating disorder is torture and horrible it will be with you your whole life if you recover or not you will have bad health and probably shorten your life. It is not fun and it is also not all about being thin like people believe. The word for craving an eating disorder is usually ignorance, could be depression it depends on your case really. But. MAYBE if you knew the reality of eating disorder's and saw the effects, the damage, and depression of it you would probably feel differently.
If you still feel the same way speak to someone family, a counsler, therapist someone to help you understand why you feel that way. Do what you can while it's easier before you develop anything. Talk to someone who will listen, and understand, someone you will feel comfortable turning to.

There are two main reasons for having an eating disorder. You want to lose weight (unhealthy way) or you need to control something.

You are probably craving control. Are you stressed about something in particular and have uncontrolled feeling towards something else (family situation, school, etc)? Are things unpredictable? Is your life chaotic? Did something happen that you feel you need to punish yourself?

Sorry for all the questions. You are not crazy. I know what you are going through because I went through it. It was ROUGH. I had it for 3 years. It was pure hell. Food controlled my life 100%. I was never overweight. I think I wanted to control my life in some form because my life was crazy. Now 7 years after I stopped being stupid (ie stopped the eating disorder), I was able to exceed in my life. I just started to concentrate on other things in life (school/career). I am healthier looking than ever. Please do not let this happen to you.

So what do you hope to gain by developing an eating disorder? Attention? Love? Making someone or some people feel guilty? Do you hate yourself and this is how you attack yourself? In other words, be honest and admit (to yourself or us) what is really behind this. Its easy to say you don't know, but everyone knows why they do things and why they make the choices they do...even if they don't want to openly admit it to others.

As with any thing in life - the more you talk your self into it and believe it the higher the chances are of obtaining it.

No lecture here - but stop thinking this way and start thinking of something else
But you really do need help(sorry had to say it).
Good Luck : )

i used to be like that. i felt i needed to have an eating disorder so that i could become skinny enough for people to like me. i realized that the problem was i wasnt comfortable around my friends. i made new friends who weren't all skinny as sticks, and they accepted me for who i was. this really helped me. maybe it will help you.

if thats not the problem, then maybe you just don't feel comfortable with yourself, and it has nothing to do with your friends. in this case then i guess i dont really know what you should do. maybe you should talk to a friend, parent, teacher, or anybody else. i hope this helped! good luck!

No, I don't think you sound crazy. It sounds like you understand what is going on in your mind. Nevertheless, a psychiatrist or psychologist is the best person to help you find out what is going on and suggest the appropriate treatment.
