It seems likely that the questioner refuses to open the door, and speak with Jehovah's Witnesses face to face.
(Matthew 10:7,11,14) As you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.’ ...Into whatever city or village you enter, search out who in it is deserving... Wherever anyone does not take you in or listen to your words, on going out of that house or that city shake the dust off your feet.

We are acting out of obedience to Jesus' command found at Matthew 28:19,20,where Jesus commands his disciples to "go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations.......teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you."
Our God given responsiblity is to reach as many people as we can with the good news about God's Kingdom before the end of this system of things come about. If we cannot find you at home,we leave you literature in the hope that it stirs a desire to want to learn more Bible truths.
It is God's will that "all sorts of men be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth"(1Tim2:4).And Jehovah God "does not desire any to be destroyed, but desires all to attain to repentence"(2Peter3:9).
It is the same with us.We feel compelled to give everyone we can an opportunity to come to know God and worship him before its too late.

They believe they have the only right religion. They also believe that it is necessary to tell everyone about it, that they are called on an errand to 'spread the good news'. Finally, they are taught that if they don't do everything they can to get you into their religion, and that you die from God's wrath, that they have blood on their hands. So in an odd kind of way, they think they are saving your life and theirs as well.

To give interested ones who are really not home, the opportunity to learn more and order free materials, ask for free studies, etc.
MANY people use this. We cannot read minds and know where to leave it or not.
If you don't want to receive it even that way, call the local Kingdom Hall and have yourself put on a do not call list there.
Love,
Debbie

It hurts nothing to be nice and listen..CB is right...we do feel we have a message to bring..we feel we have the true religion...and we feel an urgency to hurry to your door to teach you how to be saved....so that your death will not be on our head....By honoring our commission as ministers of the good news we save both ourselves and those who listen to us.....We truly believe we have a lifesaving task and cannot stop until Jehovah says so.

They slipped in their own preaching and went thru your door?
LOL
I don't know why some people try to preach through a closed door.
It is invasive. and annoying.
I just think they don't realize how they bother me and I am just nice to them anyway. What does it hurt me to be nice?

Jesus told his followers to preach the life saving message he did. If your faith does not have an active preaching routine, I would wonder why not.

Its a good thing, just think if you had to get them away when they don't want to leave. File what ever is in the door where it should be.
