It might not be possible, Iknow you've been told before that it's probably all the crazy people in this world that he doesn't trust.

I'm 28, a mother, a wife, and I've been on my own for over 10 years. I still do things that I know are stupid. Just the other day I was home by myself with my son, in the evening. It wasn't late but it was already dark. A had a knock at my door, couldn't see anyone out the peep hole, and I opened the door, without walking to the other room to look out the window. Duh... It was some guy selling some cleaning solution. Nothing bad happened, but it could have. And I didn't think about it till the door was open.

The best thing to do is bee the best daughter you can be. Be understanding of his feelings, and why he may go over board sometimes when it comes to trust issues. Do good in school, keep your grades up. Don't lie to him, and don't do anything you would have to lie to him about, nomatter how stupid the rule is. (if you lie, that makes him believe he was right not to trust you.) Obey the rules of the house. ( chores, curfew, being nice to family even if brothers or sisters are anoying or they started it.) Be open and honest with him, tell him whats going on in your life.

You get the picture. Show him that you are growing up and makeing good choices. (It has to be all the time, not just a day or a week). Hopefully if you show him you are making good decisions, eventually he will lighten up on things. You can allways point out your good choices if you are trying to persuade him.

You're probably just going to have to deal with your overly protective father. And when you turn 18 get a good job, pay for your own place, and college, and then you can do things and don't have to answer to him if you don't want to. Sorry.

What happened in the past to make him not trust you? Myspace has gotten a bad rap lately, so you can't blame him there. Ask him what you can do to earn his trust and start out small, over time you will win his trust.
